The work combines cloud engineering, DevSecOps, software delivery, SRE, and cybersecurity to help mission teams release and operatecritical capabilities with confidence.\nMetaPhase is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer with at least 10 years of relevant experience to leadplatform engineering practices that accelerate delivery through automation, secure infrastructure, and resilient cloud operations. This engineer will provide technical direction while remaininghands-on across CI/CD, infrastructureas code, observability, incident response, and developer experience.\nWhat You Will Be Doing\nDesign and lead scalable CI/CD pipelines that automate build, test, security scanning, deployment, and rollback across multiple environments.\n\nImplement secure infrastructure as code and platform automation for resilient cloud and hybrid environments using repeatable, version-controlled patterns.\n\nPartner with software engineering, SRE, and security teams to embed Zero Trust, secretsmanagement, vulnerability remediation, and policy checks into delivery workflows.\n\nBuild and improve self-service developer platforms, containerized runtime environments, and orchestration frameworks that simplify secure software delivery.\n\nEstablish observability through logging, metrics, tracing, alerting, dashboards, and service level objectivesthat support actionable operational decisions.\n\nLead incident-response improvements through runbooks, root-cause analysis, automation, and follow-through on corrective actions.\n\nMentor engineering teams, define platform standards, and provide hands-on technical leadership for secure, reliable, and highly observable production systems.\n\nWhat We Need FromYou (Required)\nMinimum of 10 years of relevant experience in DevOps, platform engineering, cloud engineering, site reliability engineering, or a closely related technical discipline.\n\nBachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, mathematics, or a relatedfield.\n\nActive Top Secret clearance with eligibility for SCI access. U.S. Citizenship is required.\n\nAdvanced proficiencywith CI/CD platforms, Git-based workflows, infrastructure as code, containers, and Kubernetes or comparable orchestration technologies.\n\nHands-on experience developing secure cloud and hybrid platforms using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Helm, Docker, and automated configuration management.\n\nExperience integrating SAST, SCA, DAST, secretsmanagement, identity controls, and infrastructure security checks into software-delivery pipelines.\n\nAbility to communicate technical platform concepts clearly and collaborate effectively with software engineers, SREs, security teams, mission users, and delivery leadership.\n\nWhat Sets You Apart (Preferred)\nExperience delivering DevSecOpsor platform engineering capabilities for cyber, intelligence, law enforcement, or other mission-critical environments.\n\nExperience with AWS, Azure, or comparable regulated cloud environments, including cloud performance and cost management.\n\nProficiencywith GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, ArgoCD, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, and policy-as-code tooling.\n\nExperience creating internal developer platforms, reusable pipeline templates, and self-service infrastructure capabilities.\n\nExperience with SRE practices, including SLOs, error budgets, incident response, logging, metrics, tracing, and operational dashboards.\n\nCurrent TS/SCI clearance and demonstratedability to support work in secure on-site environments.\n\nWork Location\nWashington, DC metropolitan area.
