The position provides broad involvement in both engineering and hardware quality activities.\nResponsibilities:\nReview engineering drawings, work instructions, inspection plans, and test procedures for applicable quality requirements.\nDefine inspection requirements and verify compliance during receiving, assembly, integration, and test activities.\nEnsure configuration, traceability, inspection, test, and acceptance records are complete and accurate.\nEvaluate discrepancies and nonconformances and support Material Review Board, root-cause, and corrective-action activities.\nSupport supplier quality activities, including supplier evaluation, audits, and corrective actions.\nParticipate in engineering, manufacturing, test-readiness, qualification, and acceptance reviews.\nRequired Qualifications:\nBachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical discipline, or equivalent applicable aerospace quality experience.\nDemonstrated quality experience supporting aerospace, spaceflight, defense, or other high-reliability hardware.\nPractical experience with hardware inspection, configuration and traceability, nonconformance, corrective action, and acceptance documentation.\nAbility to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, test procedures, and hardware requirements.\nSound technical judgment, problem-solving ability, and a practical approach to quality.\nStrong communication and collaboration skills.\nDesired Qualifications:\nExperience applying an AS9100-based aerospace Quality Management System.\nSupplier-quality or supplier-audit experience.\nFamiliarity with aerospace workmanship requirements, ESD/FOD controls, and controlled assembly processes.\nExperience leading quality investigations, corrective actions, or cross-functional activities.\nCitizenship or lawful permanent residency required.\nAbout METECS:\nMETECS provides engineering and applied technology solutions for NASA, commercial spaceflight, and other technically demanding applications.
