Working closely with the Event Operations Manager, Banquet Captains, Culinary, and Sales teams, this role leads the Houseman team to ensure every event space is executed precisely according to Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), floor plans, and Anthology Events standards. \nThis is a hands-on leadership position that requires exceptional organization, physical stamina, and a commitment to delivering luxury guest experiences behind the scenes. \nEssential Responsibilities \nEvent Operations \nLead all banquet and event room setups, flips, and breakdowns according to BEOs and floorplans. \nEnsure event spaces are fully prepared prior to guest arrival, including tables, chairs, staging, dance floors, bars, linens, décor, signage, and specialty equipment. \nInspect each event space for cleanliness, functionality, and presentation before service begins. \nCoordinate room transitions throughout the day while maintaining strict event timelines. \nRespond quickly to last-minute event changes while maintaining high service standards. \nTeam Leadership \nSupervise and lead Housemen during daily operations. \nDelegate assignments and prioritize workloads based on event schedules. \nTrain new Housemen on proper setup procedures, safety standards, equipment handling, and service expectations. \nFoster a positive, collaborative team environment with accountability and urgency. \nFacility & Equipment \nMaintain banquet storage rooms, loading areas, furniture inventory, and equipment in an organized condition. \nEnsure tables, chairs, staging, dance floors, and banquet equipment are properly stored and maintained. \nReport maintenance issues or damaged equipment promptly. \nAssist with inventory counts and replacement recommendations. \nCross-Department Collaboration \nPartner closely with Event Operations, Culinary, Sales, and Banquet Service teams to ensure seamless event execution. \nParticipate in daily event meetings and review BEOs to anticipate operational needs. \nSupport banquet service teams during high-volume events as needed. \nSafety & Standards \nMaintain a safe working environment by following OSHA and company safety standards. \nProperly operate carts, dollies, lifts, and other event equipment. \nFollow all sanitation and cleanliness standards throughout banquet spaces. \nEnsure emergency exits and service corridors remain clear at all times. \nQualifications \n2+ years of banquet, hospitality, hotel, or event setup experience required. \nPrevious lead or supervisory experience preferred. \nExperience reading and executing Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and event floorplans. \nStrong organizational and time management skills. \nExcellent communication and leadership abilities. \nAbility to prioritize multiple events simultaneously. \nComfortable working independently with minimal supervision. \nFlexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and overnight room flips. \nPhysical Requirements \nAbility to lift and carry up to 75 pounds. \nFrequently push, pull, and move banquet equipment including tables, chairs, staging, and dance floors. \nAbility to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb for extended periods. \nAbility to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. \nWhat We're Looking For \nThe ideal candidate is a dependable leader who takes pride in creating exceptional event spaces.
