We drive continuous growth for our platform by maximizing conversion through seamless onboarding, trial engagement and learning key workflows. Our approach relies on ongoing experiments to test growth opportunities, optimize the early customer journey and support continued discovery. You'll work closely with the Growth tech lead, Product, Design and QA.\nAbout Method\nMethod is the operating system thousands of small businesses run their day on, purpose-built for QuickBooks and Xero users who have outgrown spreadsheets and generic tools. Our no-code customization engine lets customers design workflows that fit their business, and we're now layering AI on top to help them build and automate those workflows faster than ever.\nWhat You'll Do\nBuild and ship experiment variations end to end across React / TypeScript and .NET Core, from an agreed hypothesis to production.\n\nOwn implementation decisions within the approved scope of an experiment, with regular review and coaching from your tech lead.\n\nWork across the full early user journey: the systems that bring new users in, get them to value and keep them subscribed.\n\nInstrument and monitor the features you build, so the team can see whether an experiment worked.\n\nWork in an AI-native planning, execution and verification loop: use AI to understand requirements, generate and refactor code, and validate before shipping. Own what you ship.\n\nWrite automated tests alongside your implementations, working closely with QA to meet quality standards.\n\nEscalate early when experiment scope expands, architecture is affected, customer data integrity is at risk, or AI-generated output can't be safely verified.\n\nWhat You Bring\nWe know the ideal candidate doesn't exist. If you don't check every box, we'd still love to hear from you, because growth potential is real here. That said, three things are non-negotiable: you use AI tools every day, you verify what they produce before you ship it, and you protect customer data and accounts as if they were your own.\n3+ years building and shipping production web applications across front end and back end.\n\nStrong backend fundamentals in C# / .NET Core, or equivalent in Java, Node or a comparable stack.\n\nStrong frontend fundamentals in React / TypeScript, or equivalent in Angular or Vue.\n\nExperience with relational and/or NoSQL databases and an ORM.\n\nA solid grasp of API design, real-world debugging and writing clean, maintainable code.\n\nHands-on experience with unit and integration testing as a first-class part of delivery.\n\nComfort shipping lean MVPs and iterating based on what the results show.\n\nDaily use of AI coding tools (Claude, Codex, Copilot or equivalent), with the judgment to understand and own what you ship.\n\nYou communicate trade-offs and uncertainty clearly, and you ask for help early.\n\nBonus points\nExperience with product analytics tools such as Amplitude, Segment or Google Analytics.\n\nFamiliarity with A/B testing, feature flags or experimentation frameworks.\n\nExperience with billing or subscription systems.\n\nExperience with no-code or low-code platforms, or products built around configurability.\n\nExperience with AWS (including SQS), MongoDB, ElasticSearch, Datadog or Docker.\n\nWhat We Offer\nFlexible hybrid work model - designed to support work-life balance while maintaining strong team collaboration; employees work from our downtown Toronto office 2-3 days per week\nCollaborative and social team culture - work in a supportive environment with regular team events and company-wide celebrations that keep things fun and connected\nGrowth-stage company experience - working at a scaling growth company like Method gives you deep insight into how a software company operates. Fix small bugs to get to know the codebase.\n\nBy 60 days: Ship your first experiment to production, with tests and tracking in place, and help with daily releases and monitoring.\n\nBy 90 days: Own experiments end to end within agreed scope, deploy to production with confidence, and set goals for the rest of the year with your manager.\n\nAs you grow, you'll take on more autonomy, share the AI workflows that work for you with the team, and help other developers with design decisions.\nJob type: Full-time, permanent.\nCompensation: $70,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience, scope and level of responsibility.
