You will provide direct and indirect patient care using the Practice of Speech-Language Pathology Act/Rules process (evaluation, treatment planning and implementation, ongoing re-assessment and discharge planning). You will direct and supervise support personnel and collaborates with multidisciplinary team members to provide age/developmentally appropriate care in accordance with professional standards of care.\nSupports the mission, vision, values and strategic goals of Methodist Health System\nYour Job Requirements:\nGraduate of an accredited baccalaureate or post-baccalaureate program in Speech-Language Pathology.\nCurrent Basic Life Support Certification\nValid Texas License or Temporary License required\n2 years Licensed SLP; 4 years preferred\nHigh level of energy and motivation\nMust be able to operate with minimal supervision following probation period. Your Job Responsibilities: \nAdheres to the general hospital standards to promote a cooperative work environment by utilizing communication skills, interpersonal relationships and team building.\nAssumes responsibility for the speech and language therapy components of the patient/family/significant other educational process. \nCommunicates with the healthcare team and co-workers with self assessment of communication effectiveness and manner. \nCreates and maintains a safe and therapeutic environment for patients, self, co-workers and facility. \nEnsures complete, accurate, and timely written documentation and communication of patient information. \nUtilizes the speech and language therapy process to ensure quality patient care is provided throughout the episode of care.\nPerform other job duties as assigned.\nMethodist Richardson Medical Centeris a 443-bed, full-service, acute care hospital that serves Richardson, Garland, Plano, and surrounding areas in Dallas and Collin counties.
