At Methods we have fun while working hard; we are not afraid of making mistakes and learning from them.\nPredominantly focused on the public-sector, Methods is now building a significant private sector client portfolio.\nMethods was acquired by the Alten Group in early 2022.\nRequirements\nDesign, build and support secure on-premise and cloud infrastructure.\nDevelop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, YAML or equivalent).\nAutomate deployment, configuration and operational processes to enable secure and repeatable releases.\nEmbed security controls throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC).\nImplement and maintain CI/CD pipelines, including security scanning and compliance checks.\nManage platform security, including secrets, certificates, tokens and access controls.\nApply secure-by-design principles and align solutions with NCSC guidance.\nIdentify security risks and vulnerabilities and implement appropriate mitigations.\nMonitor infrastructure, applications and security tooling to detect threats and issues.\nWork with engineering, architecture, security and business teams to deliver secure solutions.\nConduct peer reviews of infrastructure and deployment code.\nEnsure deployment risks are understood, documented and appropriately managed.\nSupport regulatory and security compliance requirements.\nExperience working within Agile delivery environments.\nIdeal Candidate\nStrong DevOps/DevSecOps experience supporting enterprise platforms.\nExperience designing and implementing hybrid on-premise and cloud solutions.\nStrong understanding of infrastructure, networking and platform security.\nExperience with Kubernetes, Docker and container platforms.\nExperience with Terraform, Ansible and infrastructure automation tooling.\nExperience with CI/CD pipelines and release management processes.\nExperience integrating security tooling into delivery pipelines.\nUnderstanding of SaaS, PaaS and IaaS service models.\nAbility to work effectively with cross-functional teams, particularly Security and Engineering.\nDesirable Skills & Experience\nExperience supporting and troubleshooting live production environments.\nExperience working within multidisciplinary delivery teams.\nExperience deploying and managing infrastructure using Terraform.\nExperience building and deploying containerised applications.\nExperience implementing application and infrastructure monitoring solutions.\nExperience with SAST, DAST and software supply chain security tooling (e.g. SonarQube, Trivy).\nExperience with on-premises DevOps toolchains and platforms.\nThis role will require you to have or be willing to go through Security Clearance.
