The role is expected to involve a mixture of on-premise, hosted and secure infrastructure environments rather than purely public cloud platforms.\nSalary range of £70k-£80k\nAble to work part-time initially and up to full-time when required, with regular onsite presence in Bristol or Milton Keynes\nWhat you will do\nAs the Identity & Directory Architect, you will own the technical architecture across the identity and directory domain and provide leadership from initial assessment and design through transition and implementation.\nYou will:\n· Assess existing OpenShift environments, container images, deployment processes and technical dependencies.\n· Diagnose and resolve platform, container, build and runtime issues.\n· Improve deployment automation and build processes.\n· Manage remediation of security vulnerabilities and technical debt.\n· Support monitoring, logging and operational support capabilities.\n· Improve platform resilience, recoverability and operational readiness.\n· Support Java and Tomcat-based application runtimes from a platform perspective.\n· Investigate technical incidents and provide specialist engineering support.\n· Produce operational documentation, runbooks and technical guidance.\n· Transfer knowledge to client technical teams and contribute to future roadmaps.\nRequirements\nStrong hands-on experience administering and supporting Red Hat OpenShift.\nStrong understanding of Kubernetes concepts and operations.\nExperience with container technologies including Docker, container images and container registries.\nExperience supporting production application platforms and resolving complex technical issues.\nExperience with build pipelines, deployment tooling and release processes.\nStrong Linux administration experience, preferably RHEL-based environments.\nExperience with monitoring, logging and operational support tooling.\nExperience identifying and remediating platform and container vulnerabilities.\nStrong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.\nExperience producing operational and technical documentation.\nAbility to work effectively within secure and regulated environments.\nDesirable Experience:\nJava application hosting environments.\nApache Tomcat.\nRed Hat JBoss Web Server (JWS).\nContainer platform modernisation programmes.\nRuntime upgrades and dependency remediation.\nInfrastructure automation and configuration management.\nDefence, aerospace, government or other highly regulated sectors.\nExperience operating within Security Cleared environments.\nPersonal Attributes\nSelf-sufficient and capable of working with minimal supervision.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nExcellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.\nComfortable working across operational support and engineering improvement activities.\nFocused on quality, resilience and continuous improvement.\nAble to operate effectively within complex technical and security-constrained environments.\nBenefits\nMethods is passionate about its people;
