At Methods we have fun while working hard; we are not afraid of making mistakes and learning from them.\nPredominantly focused on the public-sector, Methods is now building a significant private sector client portfolio.\nMethods was acquired by the Alten Group in early 2022.\nIT Service Continuity Management (ITSCM) is to ensure that IT services are available as quickly as possible, when technical disruptions occur and to minimise the impact of incidents on business operations, such as downtime, costs, and reputational damage.\nCandidates must have a strong track record of performing in a Service Continuity role, ideally within a ITIL & Public Sector environment.\nWithin the organisation the selected candidate will validate existing Business Impact Assessments for all Technology services and will also establish the process for completing new BIA’s for upcoming services. They will be expected to develop recovery plans, very much focused on Technology services and work alongside our clients Business Continuity partners to update our BCDR. To support this work, ITSM are currently identifying which remaining services need to be on-boarded into our CMDB to support BIA’s to be carried out effectively. Alongside this the successful candidate will:\n· Help our client Technology plan for incidents: Develop and establish effective, standardised processes for incident management, to enable service continuity.\n· Analyse threats: Identify potential threats like cyberattacks, equipment failures, or human error.\n· Reduce risk: Develop strategies to reduce the risk of incidents, such as redundancy and backup systems and mitigate with a Service Continuity Plan.\n· Plan for recovery: Create recovery plans and procedures agreed with the Business to ensure IT services can be restored quickly within agreed service levels.\n· Test plans: Plan and conduct testing (including desktop exercises) to ensure plans work as intended. Establish a process for regular testing and training.\nRequirements\nPerson Specification:\nThis role would best suit an individual who has a proven track record in delivery in a similar role\n· Relevant qualifications, skills and experience in Service Continuity Management including development and management of Business Continuity plans\n· Proven Skills and Experience working in a Public Sector role\n· Ideally experience in working in a ITIL environment\n· ITIL Foundation Certificate (minimum) or Service Operations Lifecycle module (preferable)\n· Proven experience in communicating with a variety of stakeholders at different levels\n· Strong Team working skills and management of line reports\n· Able to work without supervision\n· Strong inter-personal skills\nThis role will require you to have or be willing to go through Security Clearance.
