Active SC clearance holders willing and eligible to undergo DV clearance will also be considered.\nWe are seeking an experienced ServiceNow Portal Developer to join a major digital transformation programme within a highly secure environment.\nThis position will play a key role in the design, development, and enhancement of ServiceNow portal solutions, creating intuitive and user-centric experiences across the platform. Working alongside architects, business stakeholders, and technical teams, you will be responsible for delivering robust, scalable, and secure portal capabilities that support critical business services.\nThis role would suit a hands-on ServiceNow Developer with strong experience across Employee Centre, Service Portal, custom portal development, and front-end technologies within enterprise-scale environments.\nRequirements\nDesign, develop, and maintain ServiceNow portal solutions using Service Portal and Employee Centre.\nConfigure and customise widgets, pages, themes, and portal components to meet business requirements.\nCollaborate with architects and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.\nDevelop and maintain integrations between ServiceNow and external systems.\nBuild responsive, accessible, and user-friendly portal experiences.\nConfigure workflows, catalog items, knowledge integrations, and self-service capabilities.\nSupport platform enhancements, upgrades, and continuous improvement activities.\nFollow ServiceNow development best practices and coding standards.\nProduce technical documentation and support knowledge transfer activities.\nParticipate in code reviews, testing, deployment, and release activities.\nIdentify and resolve technical issues while ensuring platform performance and reliability.\nContribute to solution design discussions and provide technical recommendations where appropriate.\nDesired Experience & Skills\nProven experience as a ServiceNow Developer with a focus on portal development.\nStrong experience with Service Portal and/or Employee Centre.\nHands-on development experience using JavaScript, HTML, CSS, AngularJS, and ServiceNow scripting.\nExperience developing custom widgets, components, and self-service solutions.\nStrong understanding of ServiceNow ITSM and Service Catalog capabilities.\nExperience integrating ServiceNow with third-party applications and enterprise systems.\nUnderstanding of UI/UX principles and responsive design.\nExperience working within large-scale enterprise ServiceNow environments.\nStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to work closely with technical and non-technical stakeholders.\nExperience operating within government, defence, or highly regulated environments would be advantageous.\nCandidates should hold one or more of the following ServiceNow certifications:\nServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)\nServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD)\nServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS)\nServiceNow Certified UI Builder Micro-Certification\nService Portal and Employee Centre experience highly desirable\nAdditional ServiceNow certifications advantageous\nAdditional Information\nFarnborough based.\n5 days per week onsite due to the secure nature of the programme.\nActive DV clearance preferred.\nActive SC clearance holders willing to undergo DV clearance will be considered.\nOpportunity to work on a high-profile, business-critical digital transformation programme within a secure environment.\nBenefits\nMethods is passionate about its people;
