Active SC clearance holders willing and eligible to undergo DV clearance will also be considered.\nWe are seeking an experienced Technical ServiceNow Architect to play a key role in the design, architecture, and delivery of a large-scale ServiceNow transformation programme within a highly secure environment.\nThis position will be responsible for leading the technical architecture and migration strategy for a complex on-premise ServiceNow deployment, ensuring scalable, secure, and resilient solutions that align with both business and operational requirements. Working closely with senior stakeholders, technical teams, and project leadership, you will provide architectural governance throughout the full project lifecycle.\nThis role requires a hands-on technical architect who is comfortable operating in highly regulated environments and has previous experience delivering complex ServiceNow implementations and migration projects.\nRequirements\nKey Responsibilities\nLead the end-to-end technical architecture for a ServiceNow migration programme.\nDefine and maintain the overall ServiceNow technical roadmap and architecture strategy.\nDesign scalable, secure, and supportable ServiceNow solutions in line with best practice.\nProvide architectural oversight across platform configuration, integrations, data migration, and infrastructure components.\nLead technical discovery workshops with business and technology stakeholders.\nProduce high and low-level architectural designs, technical specifications, and governance documentation.\nDefine migration strategies for transitioning from existing on-premise environments while minimising operational disruption.\nEnsure alignment with security, compliance, and government standards within a secure environment.\nReview and approve technical designs produced by development and engineering teams.\nAct as the senior technical authority for ServiceNow architecture decisions and platform governance.\nCollaborate with programme managers, technical leads, infrastructure teams, and third-party suppliers to ensure successful delivery.\nIdentify technical risks and provide mitigation strategies throughout the programme lifecycle.\nSupport testing, deployment, and transition activities to ensure a successful implementation.\nDesired Experience & Skills\nProven experience operating as a Technical Architect or Solution Architect within ServiceNow environments.\nDemonstrable experience leading ServiceNow migration projects, ideally involving on-premise deployments.\nStrong understanding of ServiceNow platform architecture, integrations, workflows, CMDB, ITSM, ITOM, and associated modules.\nExperience designing and delivering enterprise-scale ServiceNow solutions within complex organisations.\nStrong knowledge of infrastructure, networking, cloud, and hybrid technology environments.\nExperience working within defence, government, national security, or other highly regulated sectors.\nExcellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage at both technical and executive levels.\nStrong understanding of architectural governance, design assurance, and best practice frameworks.\nExperience producing architecture artefacts including HLDs, LLDs, solution designs, and technical documentation.\nAbility to lead technical teams and influence architectural direction across large programmes.\nCandidates should hold one or more of the following ServiceNow certifications:\nServiceNow Certified Technical Architect (CTA) - highly desirable.\nServiceNow Certified Master Architect (CMA).\nServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA).\nServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD).\nServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) in relevant modules.\nTOGAF or equivalent architecture certification desirable.\nAdditional Information\nFarnborough based.\n5 days per week onsite due to the secure nature of the programme.\nActive DV clearance preferred.\nActive SC clearance holders willing to undergo DV clearance will be considered.\nOpportunity to work on a high-profile, business-critical transformation programme within a secure environment.\nBenefits\nMethods is passionate about its people;
