The Project Lead will oversee and implement administrative procedures, establish work priorities, conduct analyses of the MNO properties construction, renovations and operations, and coordinate services and workflow to ensure seamless operations. They will coordinate the implementation of repairs, maintenance, and renovations carried out on buildings and monitor the progress and cost of work. The position will conduct analyses and oversee administrative operations related to budgeting, contracting, project planning, and management processes. The Project Lead is also responsible for providing input into program policy development and implementation, as well as goals and direction, and overall project delivery and quality.\nWhat You Will Be Doing: \nWhile the general duties and responsibilities of this position remain consistent, specific project portfolios, areas of responsibility, and assigned initiatives may vary between incumbents based on organizational priorities, operation needs, and areas of expertise.\nThey plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate construction/ renovation projects from start to finish according to schedule, specifications, and budget.\nResponsible for coordinating with others (internal and external) working on the project to ensure that goals are met on time and that deliverables are compatible with the work plan.\nWork with Housing & Infrastructure Branch and others to prepare contracts and assist in negotiating revisions, changes, and additions to contractual agreements with architects, consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors.\nAssist in performing risk management to minimize project risks.\nOversee construction schedules and milestones, monitoring progress against established timelines to ensure timely completion.\nMonitor progress and adjust as needed.\nProvide project updates to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress.\nConduct analyses and oversee administrative operations related to budgeting, contracting, project planning, and management processes.\nMeet internal and external stakeholders, service providers, and construction teams.\nAssist with preparing budgets and tracking project costs to ensure budget forecasts are met.\nEnsure health and safety standards are adhered to.\nPromotes the values of the organization within the workplace and in the community by demonstrating positive and professional relationships with others (employees, citizens, council, volunteers, advocates, etc.)\nReports all unsafe conditions, hazards or practices, accidents and incidents under the Occupational Health and Safety Act and adheres to all Health and Safety requirements within the MNO’s policies and procedures and provincial legislation.\nPerforms other job/branch-related duties as required.\nQualifications: \nCollege Diploma (1 or 2 year)\n3 to 5 years of experience in project coordination or related experience.\nAbility to oversee a project from concept to the finished product.\nDemonstrated ability to manage project budgets and deliverables using project management software or other processes.\nDemonstrated experience building and managing relationships with various internal/external stakeholders. \nDemonstrated ability to acquire and expand knowledge quickly and to be flexible when advising others in a demanding and dynamic environment.\nStrong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.\nStrong desire to serve the Métis citizens, to advance and uphold rights and culture.\nAbility to develop and implement work plans and timelines independently.\nSuperior organizational skills.\nTime priority management to guide the construction, renovations and maintenance of the buildings and grounds.\nStrong interpersonal skills demonstrated to motivate and work effectively with others.\nWorks well under pressure and requires minimal
