The successful candidate will assist the Program Manager in overseeing day-to-day program operations, ensuring contract performance, managing personnel, subcontractors, vendors, and resources, and maintaining strong customer relationships.\nThis individual will help ensure program objectives are achieved within established cost, schedule, quality, and performance requirements while supporting continuous improvement, workforce development, and customer satisfaction.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in an engineering or science discipline.\nAt least 8 years of relevant professional experience supporting aerospace, engineering, research and development, or systems engineering contracts.\nAt least 3 years of experience in program management, deputy program management, project management, or a comparable leadership role.\nDemonstrated experience coordinating multidisciplinary technical teams and managing competing priorities.\nExperience supporting government contracts, including an understanding of contract requirements, deliverables, schedules, and performance expectations.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing program documentation and briefing senior stakeholders.\nDemonstrated ability to identify and resolve operational issues, manage risk, and support effective decision-making.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience supporting NASA, other civil space agencies, or Department of Defense customers.\nExperience managing engineering, technical, scientific, modeling and simulation, or research and development support services.\nExperience managing multiple IDIQ task orders.\nFamiliarity with federal contracting, including cost-reimbursement, fixed-price, and hybrid contract vehicles.\nExperience with staffing forecasts, program financial reporting, subcontractor coordination, and performance metrics.\nCore Competencies\nProgram leadership and operational execution\nCustomer relationship management\nWorkforce planning and team coordination\nFinancial and schedule awareness; experience with Costpoint preferred, but not required\nRisk identification and mitigation\nWritten and verbal communication\nProblem-solving and decision-making\nAccountability, adaptability, and attention to detail\nPosition Expectations\nThe Deputy Program Manager will work closely with the Program Manager and company leadership to ensure effective program execution, consistent customer engagement, and compliance with contractual requirements.
