At METLEN, we foster a culture of resilience, challenge, respect, excellence, andchange, empowering our diverse workforce to achieve remarkable outcomes.\nWe are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Construction Manager to join the Grid & Digital Solutions Department of the Thermal Power & HVDC Division for the delivery of the EGL1 Project, based in Torness, Scotland.\nYour role will encompass:\nLeading and overseeing all electrical construction activities on site, ensuring full alignment with project specifications, construction schedules, quality standards, and HSE requirements.\nManaging and coordinating site teams, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure efficient execution and optimum resource utilization.\nDriving construction planning and execution strategies to ensure works are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.\nMonitoring construction progress, identifying risks and bottlenecks, and implementing corrective actions where required.\nReviewing construction methodologies and installation sequences to optimize productivity and constructability.\nEnsuring the timely availability of labor, materials, equipment, and tools required for construction activities.\nCoordinating closely with Engineering, Procurement, Quality, Commissioning, and Project Management teams to ensure seamless project delivery.\nMonitoring subcontractor performance and ensuring compliance with contractual, technical, and safety requirements.\nSupporting progress measurement, reporting, forecasting, and project controls activities.\nEnsuring all electrical installations comply with project specifications, applicable standards, QA/QC requirements, and industry best practices.\nActing as the primary focal point for all electrical construction matters with internal and external stakeholders.\nPromoting and enforcing the highest standards of health, safety, environmental, and quality performance across all site activities.\nWhat you bring to the role:\nBachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related discipline.\n10+ years of experience in electrical construction within large-scale energy infrastructure projects, including power generation, substations, HV systems, HVDC, or transmission projects.\nProven experience managing site construction teams and subcontractors in complex EPC environments.\nStrong knowledge of construction planning, execution methodologies, progress monitoring, and project delivery.\nSolid understanding of electrical installations, constructability reviews, and site execution best practices.\nExperience in contract administration, cost control, budgeting, and reporting.\nFamiliarity with QA/QC requirements, HSE regulations, and international construction standards.\nStrong stakeholder management and coordination skills across multidisciplinary project teams.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office applications.\nExcellent command of the English language.\nStrong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.\nFollow us on LinkedIn and stay updated on our latest news\nWe respect your personal data.
