The role will be based at M Technologies’ site in Volos, Greece.\nIn this role, you will act as a key link between business stakeholders, the Technology & Security department, and the central Data Management team, gathering business requirements and translating them into technical data solutions. You will contribute to the delivery of data engineering, data analysis, and Business Intelligence initiatives, ensuring that business needs are transformed into reliable data pipelines, meaningful insights and effective reporting solutions.\nWorking across the full project lifecycle, from requirements gathering and data profiling to solution development, testing and deployment, you will support the evolution of M Technologies’ OT/IT data ecosystem and contribute to data-driven decision-making.\nYour role will encompass:\nCollaborating with business users and stakeholders to gather and document business requirements, data needs, KPIs, and reporting expectations.\nAnalysing data project requirements, assessing existing data sources, identifying gaps, and defining the scope, technical approach, and teams involved.\nTranslating business requirements into technical specifications, data models, transformation rules, and reporting solutions.\nIdentifying data sources, assessing data availability and quality, and defining requirements for integrating datasets into the enterprise data platform.\nDesigning, developing, testing, and optimising ETL/ELT pipelines, data transformations, and models for operational and analytical use cases.\nDeveloping and maintaining SQL-based data structures, datasets, dashboards, and BI reports to support business performance monitoring.\nSupporting Data Governance by maintaining data definitions, business metadata, data ownership, lineage, and documentation.\nPromoting data quality by identifying inconsistencies, investigating root causes, and coordinating corrective actions with business and technical teams.\nWorking with Microsoft Azure data services and enterprise platforms to integrate structured and semi-structured data from business and industrial systems.\nCollaborating with Data Engineers, Data Governance specialists, Business Analysts, and the Technology & Security department to deliver data initiatives and uphold data standards.\nMonitoring data quality and pipeline performance, troubleshooting discrepancies, and coordinating issue resolution.\nSupporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT), documentation, deployment, and continuous improvement to ensure solutions meet business, technical, and data quality requirements.\n\nWhat you bring to the role:\n4+ years of relevant experience in Data Engineering, Data Analysis, Business Intelligence, or a related discipline.\nStrong SQL skills and practical experience with Python for data processing, transformation, and analysis.\nExperience designing and developing ETL/ELT pipelines, data models, and data warehouse solutions.\nFamiliarity with cloud data platforms and technologies such as Microsoft Azure, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse Analytics, Databricks, or Microsoft Fabric.\nExperience with BI and data visualisation tools, such as Power BI, and the development of reports and dashboards.\nUnderstanding of Data Governance, data quality, metadata management, data ownership, data cataloging, and data lineage principles.\nExperience gathering and analysing business requirements and translating them into technical specifications, with the ability to identify required activities and coordinate with relevant stakeholders.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.\nPrevious experience in manufacturing, industrial, metals, energy, or OT/IT environments will be considered an asset.\n\nValue-Based Behaviors:\nPeople & Personal Growth\nResults Orientation & Safety Excellence\nCollaboration & Trust\nEmpathy & Effective Communication\nFlexibility & Adaptability\n\nYour Benefits:\nCompetitive remuneration package\nTicket Restaurant Card\nGroup Health Insurance Plan\nPreferential household electricity plan\nPension Plan\nAt METLEN, we combine industrial expertise with a global outlook to help shape a more sustainable future.
