At METLEN, we foster a culture of resilience, challenge, respect, excellence, andchange, empowering our diverse workforce to achieve remarkable outcomes.\nWe are currently seeking a Site Electrical Engineer to join the Grid & Digital Solutions Department of the Thermal Power & HVDC Division for the delivery of the EGL1 Project, based in Torness, Scotland\nYour role will encompass:\nSupervising the execution of electrical works on site in accordance with project specifications, drawings, and applicable standards.\nMonitoring the installation of electrical equipment, cable systems, earthing systems, and associated infrastructure.\nCoordinating and supervising subcontractors to ensure the safe and efficient execution of works.\nMonitoring construction progress and maintaining accurate records of completed and ongoing activities.\nReporting technical issues, construction challenges, and risks, while supporting their timely resolution.\nEnsuring the availability of materials, equipment, and resources required for site activities.\nPerforming quality inspections and ensuring compliance with project specifications and quality standards.\nSupporting testing, commissioning, and handover activities.\nMonitoring schedule adherence and escalating potential delays to site management.\nEnsuring full compliance with HSE requirements throughout all electrical construction activities.\nWhat you bring to the role:\nUniversity Degree or Technical Diploma in Electrical Engineering.\n2+ years of experience in electrical construction projects within the power generation, transmission, industrial, or energy sectors.\nExperience supervising electrical installation subcontractors on construction sites.\nSound understanding of electrical drawings, technical specifications, and construction methodologies.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office applications.\nExcellent command of the English language.\nStrong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced construction environment and multidisciplinary project teams.\nFollow us on LinkedIn and stay updated on our latest news\nWe respect your personal data.
