Energy OT Network Engineer

We are currently looking for an Energy OT Network Engineer to join ourEnergy Technology Division, based in Paiania, Greece.

As part of our team, you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing secure, resilient and supportable OT network architectures across METLEN’s Energy assets and EPC projects. You will turn OT cybersecurity architecture into secure connectivity through segmentation, firewalling, remote access, hardening and site remediation. You will collaborate cross-functionally with Energy business units, engineering, IT, the CISO organization and external partners to align execution with business priorities and operational needs.

Your role will encompass:

• Designing and documenting secure OT network architectures forOT assets (PV, Wind, Hydro, BESS, Hybrid, Thermal), andEPC environmentsacross the world.

• Implementing and maintainingnetwork segmentation, industrial DMZs, firewallpolicies, secure remote accessand controlled data flows.

• Reviewing network designs, configurationsand bills of materials to ensure compliance with OT cybersecurity standards and project requirements.

• Performing configuration reviews, hardening, troubleshooting and remediation of industrial switches, routers, firewallsand related infrastructure.

• Supporting FAT/SAT, commissioning, handover and change activities with network security tests, evidenceand updated as-built documentation.

• Coordinating connectivity and integration with SCADA, historians, plant controllers, OEM platforms, IT servicesand OT monitoring solutions.

• Maintaining OT network diagrams, configuration baselines, backup and recovery arrangementsand approved access paths.

• Supporting vulnerability assessments and incident investigations involving OT networks, communicationsand remote connections.

• Collaborating with clients, site engineers, EPC teams, IT networking, CISO, vendorsand integrators to resolve technical dependencies and risks.

• Compliance with NIS2, Cybersecurityframeworks, ISO 27001and other country legislation

What you bring to the role:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Network Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation, Computer Scienceor a relatedfield.

• 3+ years of experience in network engineering, with relevant exposure to OT/ICS or industrial environments.

• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, network segmentationand secure remote access.

• Understanding ofindustrial protocols and systems such as Modbus TCP, DNP3, IEC 60870-5-104, OPC UA, SCADAand plant controllers.

• Experience with network design documentation, configuration management, troubleshootingand commissioning.

• Knowledge of ISA/IEC 62443 network architecture concepts and OT security good practices.

• Relevant certifications such as CCNA/CCNP, PCNSE, Fortinet NSE, IEC 62443 or equivalent are considered a plus.

• Ability to work safely in operational sites and coordinate effectively with engineering, ITand external vendors.
