At METLEN, we foster a culture of resilience, challenge, respect, excellence, andchange, empowering our diverse workforce to achieve remarkable outcomes.\nWe are currently looking for Financial Controller to join our team in Warsaw (Poland)\nYour role will encompass:\nCost Control and Analysis\nMonitoring and analyzing project costs, including construction materials, subcontractors, labor, equipment, logistics, and overhead.\n\nSupporting month-end closing with a focus on project cost allocation and accruals.\n\nConducting variance analysis (comparing budget, actual, and forecast figures) to identify potential risks and opportunities.\n\nImplementing cost control measures and supporting cost optimization initiatives across the project.\n\nFinancial Planning and Budgeting\nSupporting the preparation of project budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections.\n\nTracking project performance against the established budget and providing regular variance reporting.\n\nWorking closely with Project Managers and Site Teams to align financial tracking with physical project progress and milestones.\n\nProject & Performance Analysis\nMonitoring project key performance indicators (KPIs), such as cost performance, productivity, and progress versus spend.\n\nAnalyzing construction activities and resource utilization to identify and recommend efficiency improvements.\n\nSupporting claims, change orders, and the forecasting of final project results, including the Estimate at Completion (EAC).\n\nFinancial Reporting and Compliance\nPreparing timely and accurate project financial reports and management dashboards.\n\nEnsuring full compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and project reporting requirements.\n\nSupporting the preparation of statutory reports.\n\nSupporting audits by gathering and providing necessary documentation related to project finances and contractual execution.\n\nWhat you bring to the role:\nBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s preferred).\n3-5 years of experience in financial controlling within construction, EPC,or industrial projects (CCGT or energy projects experience is an advantage).\nStrong understanding of project cost control, budgeting, and forecasting in aconstruction environment.\nFamiliarity with project-based ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and cost tracking tools.\nStrong analytical skills with a focus on detail and accuracy.\nAbility to work closely with project/site teams in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.\nExcellent knowledge of English (Level C1 or higher ) and Strong communication skills and ability to interact with both finance and engineering/construction stakeholders.\nFollow us on LinkedIn and stay updated on our latest news\nFollow us on LinkedIn and stay updated on our latest news\nWe respect your personal data.
