At METLEN, we foster a culture of resilience, challenge, respect, excellence, andchange, empowering our diverse workforce to achieve remarkable outcomes.\nWe are currently looking for anHSE Competence Specialist to join our HSE team in Paiania, Greece.\nAs an HSE Competence Specialist, you will support the MRES HSE Manager in enhancing HSE performance across construction projects by establishing and standardizing the HSE competence and training framework. You will lead the development and governance of HSE training programs to ensure that employees and contractors are competent to work safely and in compliance with company and regulatory requirements, while acting as the focal point for HSE training standardization and competence development across all projects.\nYour role will encompass:\nDevelop and standardize HSE training materials, toolbox talks, and awareness campaigns to support a consistent approach across projects\nDefine and govern HSE induction and onboarding processes for employees and contractors, ensuring alignment with company standards and project requirements\nCoordinate and monitor HSE training delivery , ensuring full coverage, consistency, and timely execution across all projects\nTrack competence requirements, training completion rates, and identified gaps, through relevant systems and platforms (e.g. SharePoint, HammerTech), providing insights to support compliance and continuous improvement\nSupport HSE Area Managers and site teams in strengthening safety culture through targeted training, learning initiatives, and competence development activities delivered both on site and through digital learning and HSE management platforms\nWhat you bring to the role:\nDegree in Engineering, Health & Safety or a related field\n3-5 years of relevant HSE experience\nProven experience in developing HSE training materials, toolbox talks, awareness campaigns, and learning programs\nExperience in training needs analysis, competency management, and compliance tracking\nKnowledge of ISO 45001/14001; Train-the-Trainer, NEBOSH, or equivalent certifications will be considered an advantage\nStrong communication, presentation, and facilitation skills\nFluency in Greek and English\nProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)\nExperience with HSE management platforms and databases (e.g. HammerTech or equivalent) will be considered an advantage.\nExperience in renewable energy projects and/or EPC projects will be considered an advantage\nYour Benefits:\nCompetitive remuneration package\nTicket Restaurant Card\nGroup Health Insurance Plan\nPreferential household electricity plan\nPension Plan \nShare the same Value Based Behaviors:\nPeople & Personal growth\nResults orientation & Safety excellence\nCollaboration & Trust\nEmpathy & Effective communication\nFlexibility & Adaptability \nFollow us on LinkedIn and stay updated on our latest news\nWe respect your personal data.
