At METLEN, we foster a culture of resilience, challenge, respect, excellence, andchange, empowering our diverse workforce to achieve remarkable outcomes.\nWe are currently looking for a VPP PLC Developer to join Joule, our new energy software company, part of our Integrated Energy Utility Division, based in Paiania.\nBy joining this role, you will contribute to the development and integration of automation and control solutions supporting Virtual Power Plant (VPP), SCADA, renewable energy, and distributed energy systems.\nYour Role Will Encompass:\nDeveloping and maintaining PLC applications, Industrial PCs, and edge devices for monitoring and control of renewable energy assets.\nImplementing control logic, alarm handling, data acquisition, and remote-control functions according to project requirements.\nConfiguring and troubleshooting industrial communication interfaces and integrating meters, protection relays, inverters, controllers, and other field devices.\nSupporting testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and technical issue resolution across project deployments.\nCollaborating with SCADA engineers, field technicians, project managers, and software developers to deliver reliable and scalable automation solutions.\nWhat You Bring to the Role:\nBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field, with 2+ years of relevant experience.\nSolid knowledge of PLC programming, industrial automation, digital and analog signals, and electrical control systems.\nFamiliarity with industrial communication protocols such as Modbus TCP/RTU, IEC 60870-5-104, DNP3, or OPC UA.\nGood understanding of industrial networking concepts, including IP addressing, routing, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and ports.\nExperience with SCADA, VPP, renewable energy, solar PV, BESS, remote telemetry, or field commissioning will be considered an asset.\nShare the same Value Based Behaviors:\nPeople & Personal growth.\nResults orientation & Safety excellence. \nCollaboration & Trust. \nEmpathy & Effective communication. \nFlexibility & Adaptability.\nYor Benefits:\nCompetitive remuneration package.\nTicket Restaurant Card.\nGroup Health Insurance program.\nProtergia discount on electricity and natural gas bill.\nPension Plan.\nFollow us on LinkedIn and stay updated on our latest news\nWe respect your personal data.
