At METLEN, we foster a culture of resilience, challenge, respect, excellence, andchange, empowering our diverse workforce to achieve remarkable outcomes.\nWe are currently seeking a Site Electrical Commissioning Engineer to join our team in Grudziadz, Poland supporting the commissioning phase of a Gas Power Plant and/or HV Substation.\nThis role offers a strong opportunity to contribute hands-on to the execution and delivery of electrical commissioning activities through to successful handover, ensuring compliance with project, quality, safety, and performance requirements.\nYour role will encompass:\nExecute and support electrical commissioning activities from pre-commissioning through to final handover, in line with approved procedures and project requirements.\nCarry out hands-on commissioning of electrical systems and equipment, including transformers, medium and low voltage switchgear, DC systems, rectifiers, inverters, and associated auxiliaries.\nPerform testing, system optimisation, troubleshooting, and completion of commissioning documentation and protocols.\nCoordinate activities with internal teams, external partners, subcontractors, and customers to ensure smooth execution and interface management.\nEnsure all commissioning activities are carried out in strict compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) requirements, including LOTO procedures, work permits, and safe systems of work.\nPlan and execute authorised low-voltage (LV) isolations and support safe execution of site activities.\nCoordinate commissioning activities with erection, construction, and commissioning teams, ensuring readiness for system start-up.\nLead and coordinate Electrical technicians during commissioning and pre-commissioning activities.\nParticipate in walk-downs for turnover from construction to commissioning, identifying and tracking open items impacting system start-up.\nPrepare, update, and implement commissioning procedures and site documentation.\nReport progress, technical issues, and risks to the Lead Electrical Engineer and the Commissioning Manager.\nWhat You Bring to the Role:\n2+ years of experience in electrical commissioning activities on power plants and/or HV substations.\nDiploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or related discipline).\nHands-on knowledge of electrical commissioning methodologies and systems.\nExperience working in multi-disciplinary and international project environments.\nStrong understanding of HSE requirements and safe working practices on site.\nGood organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.\nProficient in MS Office.\nFluent written and spoken English.\nFollow us on LinkedIn and stay updated on our latest news\nWe respect your personal data.
