At METLEN, we foster a culture of resilience, challenge, respect, excellence, andchange, empowering our diverse workforce to achieve remarkable outcomes.\nWe are currently seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to join our UK team within the Thermal Power & HVDC Division of Metlen Energy & Metals, based at our Murton, County Durham project site.\nWhat your role will encompass:\nSupervise the day-to-day warehouse operations, including the receipt, storage, handling, preservation, and issuance of construction materials, equipment, and consumables.\nResponsible for receiving and inspecting all goods, materials, and equipment to ensure they comply with purchase orders, delivery notes, and project specifications. This includes verifying the correct quantities have been delivered, conducting thorough quality inspections to identify any damage, defects, or non-conformances, and ensuring materials meet the required standards before acceptance.\nLead and coordinate warehouse personnel to ensure safe, efficient, and timely material handling activities.\nTo ensure all activities are planned correctly with the timely submission of lift plans and RAMS.\nMaintain accurate inventory records and ensure all material movements are correctly recorded within warehouse management systems.\nMonitor inventory levels and ensure full material traceability throughout the project lifecycle.\nConduct regular stock counts, cycle counts, and inventory reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies.\nAttend the site daily coordination meetings, support the Construction management team in the coordination and tracking of subcontractor delivers and forecasted delivers.\nCoordinate incoming deliveries and outgoing material requests to support construction schedules and site requirements.\nEnsure materials are correctly labelled, stored, preserved, and segregated in accordance with manufacturer recommendations and project procedures.\nLiaise closely with Procurement, Logistics, Construction, QA/QC, and Project Controls teams regarding material availability, shortages, and delivery schedules.\nEnsure compliance with company HSE policies, warehouse safety procedures, housekeeping standards, and environmental requirements.\nMonitor warehouse equipment and storage facilities, ensuring they remain safe, organised, and fit for purpose.\nSupport internal and external audits, inspections, and reporting activities related to warehouse operations and inventory management.\nPrepare regular warehouse reports, inventory summaries, and KPI updates for Project Management.\nIdentify opportunities to improve warehouse processes, material flow, and operational efficiency throughout the project.\nWhat you bring to the role:\nMinimum 5 years' experience in warehouse operations, logistics, or material management.\nPrevious experience supporting large-scale EPC, industrial, energy, thermal power, HVDC, infrastructure, or construction projects is highly desirable.\nStrong understanding of inventory control, material traceability, and warehouse management best practices.\nExperience working with ERP or warehouse management systems (SAP experience is considered an advantage).\nExcellent organisational, planning, and coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced site environment.\nStrong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to supervise teams and collaborate effectively across project functions.\nGood knowledge of warehouse HSE requirements and safe material handling practices.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office applications.\nFollow us on LinkedIn and stay updated on our latest news\nWe respect your personal data.
