We are seeking a senior level distributed Linux Server Administrator with strong knowledge of REDHAT products and Linux infra. Knowledge of Linux OS upgrade is must. The successful candidate will be working with various enterprise application development and core services teams to implement and maintain virtual and hardware platforms as well as installing and maintaining our internal infra. The candidate will be responsible for adhering to documentation for the installation, maintenance, support, and hardware/software procedures for enterprise Linux Infrastructure and VMs.\n\nJob Responsibilities\n\nInstall, configure, administer, and support enterprise Linux environments (RHEL, CentOS, Linux, Ubuntu).\nPlan and execute end-to-end RHEL version upgrades and migrations with minimal downtime\nPerform server provisioning, patch management, system hardening, and lifecycle management\nDevelop and maintain Ansible playbooks, roles, and automation workflows for infrastructure management\nAutomate routine operational tasks to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort\nMonitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimization measures\nManage user accounts, permissions, PAM, LDAP, and access controls\nConfigure and support services such as DNS, NFS, Samba, SSH, Apache, and load balancers\nPerform troubleshooting of OS, hardware, storage, networking, and application-related issues\nEnsure compliance with security standards, vulnerability remediation, and audit requirements\nCreate and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and knowledge base articles.\nWork in conjunction with DB Teams to understand and implement the storage related tasks\nFollows operating procedures and utilizes established support tools for analysis and reporting requirements\nActively participates in project planning to ensure timely and successful completion of projects assigned to Linux server team.\nInterfaces with hardware vendors to maintain and schedule repair of equipment in a timely manner and /or provide hardware repair and maintenance as required.\nProvide on-call 24 x 7 support\nUtilize Powershell and Vbscripts in support of automation of common day-to-day operations\n\nEducation\n\nKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:\n\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline or equivalent work experience required.\n\nExperience\n\n6+ years of experience in all phases of enterprise installation and maintenance of hardware and software systems, network and operating systems and storage management\n\nKnowledge And Skills (general And Technical)\n\nGood understanding of storage area networks as part of the overall network of computing resources for the enterprise\nExcellent knowledge of operating systems and subsystems, systems software, enterprise design and software and storage management\nExcellent knowledge of network hardware and software, infrastructure and design, topologies and protocols.\nStrong analytical and documentation skills.\nExcellent teamwork and communication skills, both verbal and in writing.\nAbility to foster strong partnerships with business customers, peer groups and vendors.\nStrong customer service focus.\nExcellent problem solving skills\nTakes a thorough, comprehensive, inquisitive, thoughtful, persistent and conscientious approach to assignments.
