Perform virtual environment development, vulnerability analysis, reverse engineering, software development, and operational support to solve many of the country’s toughest problems.\nRole and Responsibilities\nThe Embedded Developer will apply expertise in cloud engineering, C/C++ development, reverse engineering, and automated unit testing in Python, develop capabilities in assembly, research existing functionality, and learn new technologies quickly.\nThe role will also provide support to the test team during component and system testing and perform protocol analysis.\nSkills and Experience\n Required Experience: Six (6) or more years of Software System Requirements Analysis, Design, Development, Integration, and/or Testing\nRequired Five (5) or more years of experience in at least 3 or more of the following areas: Software development experience using C, C/C++, or other proprietary languages\nDeveloping embedded software systems in 1 or more of the following operating system environments: Unix, Linux, Windows, VxWorks, JunOS or vendor proprietary operating systems\nExperience with OS internals in 1 or more of the following operating system environments: Unix, Linux, Windows, VxWorks, JunOS or vendor proprietary operating systems\nReverse engineering and analysis of software\nLow-level programming of device drivers in a Unix, Linux, or Windows environment\nBit-level data analysis\nSystems engineering of large scale embedded systems\nHands on experience with integrating hardware and software systems. \n\nExpertise in 2 of the following areas:1) System Requirements Analysis\n2) Software System Design\n3) Software System Development\n4) Software System Integration\n5) Software System Testing\n\nConfiguration, administration, and development experience with Virtual Environments (VMWare/ESXi, Open Stack, Open vSwitch, QEMU)\nDevelopment experience on embedded platforms (Linux, Unix, Android, VxWorks)\nExperience with Software Reverse Engineering and/or debugging tools, such as IDAPro, OllyDbg, gdb, etc.\nFamiliarity with assembly languages (development or reversing)\nKnowledge of low level, systems programming concepts\nRequired Education: Bachelor of Computer Science or Computer Engineering or related discipline from an accredited college or university PLUS 6 years of software/system development work experience, OR Masters of Computer Science or Computer Engineering PLUS 4 years of experience\nAdditional Qualifications (nice to haves):\nExperience with vulnerability analysis and exploit development\nExperience with Python\nExperience with Assembly\nMemory safe low level programming experience such as Rust\nKnowledge of telecommunications architecture and protocols\nOur Culture\nMetrea’s single core value “rooted in humility” is supported by four key attributes; entrepreneurial, systematic, discerning & over-deliver which combined; form our Teammate Firmware, our culture.
