{"id":2198339,"url":"https://alion.io/job/metro-lighting-billing-representative-billing-pricing-team","title":"Billing Representative - Billing & Pricing Team","company":{"id":2484527,"name":"Metro Lighting","domain":"metrolightingcenters.com","url":"https://alion.io/company/metrolightingcenters","size_band":null,"is_staffing_agency":false,"employer_type":"direct","is_intermediary":false,"listed_via":null,"ats_vendor":"Workday","truth_index":null},"role":"Operations","role_family":"Operations","seniority":null,"employment_type":"full_time","work_mode":"on_site","remote_scope":null,"remote_scope_basis":null,"remote_working_hours":null,"hiring_geo_confidence":"structured","locations":["Saint Louis, United States"],"countries":["US"],"hiring_countries":[],"hiring_countries_total":0,"salary":{"min":21,"max":null,"currency":"USD","period":"hour","gross":null,"usd_annual":42000},"salary_estimate":null,"experience_years_min":null,"visa_sponsorship":false,"relocation_package":false,"has_equity":false,"technologies":[{"name":"Microsoft Excel","optional":false}],"status":"live","first_seen_at":"2026-10-09T20:21:27Z","employer_posted_date":"2026-10-09","last_verified_at":"2026-10-21T07:58:58Z","board_verified":true,"closed_at":null,"days_open":11,"trust":{"level":"ok","repost_count":null,"flags":[],"days_open":11},"description":"Overview:\nParticipates in but not limited to reviewing, billing, pricing and cost accuracy, customer statements, rebate and special-pricing administration, price file maintenance, and recurring sales and month-end reporting.\nThe role partners with Sales, Purchasing, Operations, and Finance to maintain reliable data, resolve discrepancies, support timely invoicing, and strengthen financial and operational controls.\nTypical Functions of the Billing Group:\nReviews sales tickets, orders, and related transactions for pricing, cost, item, customer, and vendor accuracy before billing or downstream processing.\nEnsure customer invoices and statements are issued accurately and on schedule.\nPartner with Purchasing, Sales, and Operations to maintain accurate item, pricing, cost, customer, and vendor information in the ERP system.\nAdminister customer rebates, vendor rebates, special pricing agreements, and other pricing programs.\nPrepare and review recurring reports for sales leadership and management as assigned.\nSupport month-end close activities by preparing reporting requested by the Finance leader or other general accounting tasks as needed.\nIdentify opportunities to improve workflow, data quality, reporting, and cross-functional communication while balancing accuracy, timeliness, and customer service.\nProtect confidential company, customer, vendor, and employee information and follow records-retention and data-security requirements.\nPerform other related duties consistent with the role’s purpose and level of responsibility. \nMinimum Qualifications:\nHigh school diploma or GED\nExperience in billing, pricing, and related business functions preferred.\nWorking knowledge of general accounting concepts.\nBasic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including sorting, filtering, formulas, and data review.\nAbility to communicate clearly and respectfully by phone, email, and in person.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nHigh school diploma or GED\nExperience communicating clearly and professionally with internal partners and external customers and vendors.\nExperience with Eclipse or a comparable distribution ERP system.\nExperience with rebates, special pricing agreements, commission support, margin reporting, account reconciliations, or month-end close support.\nShift and Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm.\nCompensation Details: The expected starting rate of pay for this position is $21.00 per hour, depending on experience. \nThis job description is intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by individuals occupying this position of employment.
