The Data Quality Engineer supports the Bank's data governance strategy by operationalizing the data quality frameworks, rules, metrics, and validation processes.\nRole Exposure:\nData Quality Governance and Compliance:\nOperationalization of the Bank's enterprise data quality management framework, standards, methodologies, and procedures that ensure consistent execution of data quality management practices across the Bank\nDelivery and maintenance of data governance metrics, and key performance indicators (KPIs) that provide visibility on the adherence to data governance policies, control standards and processes\nData Quality Controls, Monitoring and Reporting:\nImplementation and maintenance of data quality controls, validation rules, and monitoring mechanisms across critical data assets that ensure data accuracy, completeness, consistency, timeliness, validity, and integrity\nDelivery and maintenance of data quality rules, metrics, dashboards, scorecards, and key performance indicators (KPIs) that provide visibility into data quality performance and support management decision-making\nCritical Data Element (CDE) Quality Management:\nEstablishment, assessment, monitoring, and reporting of data quality requirements for Critical Data Elements and other key business data that support business objectives, and regulatory compliance\nData Quality Issue Management, Remediation, and Continuous Improvement:\nTimely resolution and remediation of data quality issues by driving accountable units to identify, assess, prioritize, and address data defects through structured tracking, monitoring, and cross-functional coordination, thereby minimizing business, operational, and regulatory impacts.\nPrevention of recurring issues and continuous improvement in data quality outcomes through driving accountable units to identify root causes, implement and sustain corrective and preventive actions, and strengthen data quality controls and processes.\nStakeholder Engagement and Support\nAdherence and accountability to data governance policies and effective data quality practices throughout the enterprise data lifecycle through collaboration with Data Owners, Data Stewards, Data Custodians, business units, and technology teams.\nProvide guidance and subject matter expertise on data quality requirements and controls.\nQualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Data Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Business, Economics, or related field \nMaster’s degree and/or Data Governance certification preferred \nAt least 3 years of experience in data management, data quality, analytics, business intelligence, or related fields \nExperience in banking, financial services, or regulated industries is an advantage \nKnowledge of data quality management, data governance frameworks, and data lifecycle concepts (e.g., DMBOK) \nProficient in SQL, data analysis, profiling, validation, reconciliation, and root cause analysis \nFamiliarity with metadata management, data lineage, and master data management \nUnderstanding of data-related regulatory and risk management requirements \nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills \nExcellent communication, presentation, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills \nAbility to translate technical findings for both technical and non-technical audiences \nHigh integrity, professionalism, and commitment to ethical data management \nStrong focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence\nOther
