Join us as we build a knowledgeable and collaborative team that courageously changes how transit projects will be delivered.\nThe GO Expansion, Union Station Rail Corridor (USRC) is looking for a Project Manager to join the team! You will be responsible for the infrastructure required to support the capital build of the GO Expansion program within the USRC Corridor. Reporting to the Manager, you will support and oversee consultants, developers and contractors work and will actively manage all activities to ensure achievement of objectives according to defined timelines, budget, and approved project deliverables.\nWhat will I be doing?\nEnsure the project is progressing by completing, assigning, and monitoring day-to-day tasks and providing updates to management.\n\nCoordinate with external stakeholders (e.g. municipalities, transit authorities, government agencies, and property owners) on resolution of design issues, timelines, deliverables, changes and other issues impacting project progress, quality, cost, and safety.\n\nIdentify, monitor, mitigate, and escalate issues that can potentially put the success of the project at risk.\n\nCoordinate the preparation and review of estimates for studies, design, construction, and contingency costs.\n\nPerform full project life-cycle project management role and responsibilities within a collaborative minded project team on a complex, dynamic and high-risk project. Ensure that only approved work scope is delivered by the project and that the project lifecycle is completed on-time and within budget.\n\nProvide administrative, design, editing, technical, estimating, and priority direction to staff and personnel assigned to individual projects, through all project stages.\n\nWork with a multidisciplinary team comprised of employees, delivery partner, consultants and contractors to deliver high-quality product and service, and oversees the day-to-day delivery of project team members involved in the coordination and administration of project elements.\n\nCoordinate several complex tasks under pressure to meet schedule and budget commitments.\n\nWhat Skills and Qualifications Do I Need?\nCompletion of a degree in Engineering or a related discipline or a combination of education, training and experience deemed equivalent.\nDemonstrated experience in project management, preferably within the public sector\n\nDemonstrated experience managing projects and stakeholders, preferably involving planning, design, construction, and commissioning of transit stations, facilities, heavy Railway infrastructure including electric traction, bridges, structures, and related works.\n\nProject Management Professional (PMP) certification, and/or, or P.Eng. designation or partial completion is an asset\n\nProject management experience to manage assigned multi-disciplinary projects of high value and complexity and supervise staff engaged in all stages of project management from start to close-out\n\nProject management experience to manage assigned projects and supervise staff engaged in all stages of project management from start to close-out\n\nKnowledge of construction standards and procedures applicable to an operating Railway environment. Organizational, interpersonal, and oral/written/presentation communication skills to coordinate complex multi-disciplinary projects under pressure to meet schedule and budget commitments\n\nKnowledge of Progressive Design Build (PDB) or other collaborative project delivery models is an asset\n\nProject specific requirement for visits to construction sites (CPG) during working hours and occasional visits during evenings, weekends and/or holidays.\n\nA Driver’s Abstract (within the last 3 Years) will be required of the successful candidate.
