This is an Expression of Interest for potential future opportunities based in Mackay, with opportunities suited to engineers with 2+ years’ experience through to more experienced control systems professionals.\nWorking alongside experienced engineers and technical specialists, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute across electrical design, PLC and SCADA systems, commissioning, functional safety and project delivery. Our team also supports advanced automation technologies used to optimise bulk stockyards and ship loader operations globally.\nAbout the Opportunity\nDepending on your experience, you may be involved across the full project lifecycle, from concept and design through to programming, testing, commissioning and client handover.\nAreas of responsibility may include:\nDesigning, developing and commissioning PLC, HMI and SCADA control systems\nDeveloping and reviewing engineering documentation, including functional design specifications\nParticipating in Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT)\nProviding technical support throughout project delivery\nWorking collaboratively with electrical, instrumentation, mechanical and project teams\nSupporting commissioning and troubleshooting activities at client sites\nContributing to continuous improvement initiatives, quality systems and technical standards\nWorking with customers and other stakeholders to deliver effective automation solutions\nAbout You\nWe’re interested in hearing from motivated and technically capable engineers who enjoy solving complex automation and control challenges and working as part of a project-focused team.\nYou may bring:\nA Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechatronics or a related Engineering discipline\n2+ years’ experience in control systems, automation or a related engineering environment\nExperience with PLC programming and control systems\nExposure to SCADA and HMI systems\nAn understanding of instrumentation, industrial networks and control system engineering practices\nExperience preparing technical documentation and supporting project delivery\nStrong problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities\nGood communication and stakeholder engagement skills\nStrong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities\nExperience within mining, particularly surface operations, CHPPs, stockyard machines or bulk materials handling, will be highly regarded.
