At Metso, you’re supported by a growth culture built on safety, wellbeing, inclusion and collaboration.\nThis is your opportunity to make an impact and rise above the possible.\nJob posting end date: 03/31/2026\nIntroduction:\nDesign Engineer, work primarily with slurry pumps designs who can develop products from concept to launch and coordinates with departments such as operations, services, and marketing to ensure product’s success.\nJob Location -Alwar (Rajasthan)\nWhat you’ll do:\nResearch and determine specifications for products including the right materials, measurements, and structures.\nShould use analytical approach to solve a problem and know hand calculations.\nApply design concepts with depth knowledge of machine design.\nCreates 3D models utilizing Metso current design software like AutoCAD, Inventor.\nCreates manufacturing drawings, based on standard designs and calculations.\nAssisting with problems regarding proto assembly or parts incorrectly fabricated etc.\nPerforms basic strength evaluations/calculations.\nShould know basics of 3D printing.\nMaintain drawing/Team centre database, Key user.\nPerform documented product safety review as a part of the daily design process\nDevelops new solutions independently and in project teams.\nMaintains good order and efficiency in his/her work.\nTakes part in design reviews.\nParticipates as team member and sometimes a leader in development project for slurry pumps\nPerforms other miscellaneous duties and/or other special projects as required.\nWho you are:\nBachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering with relevant focus area towards Design Engineering, or 3 - 5 years of experience in Mechanical Engineering and design.\nExperience in use of 3D CAD modelling tools and Inventor is considered an advantage.\nExperience of centrifugal pumps, castings, welded design, rubber parts is a plus.\nPositive and solution oriented interaction skills with counterparts as required.\nEfficient end results oriented approach.\nWorks well in teams as well as an individual contributor.\nAbility to complete assigned tasks in the time given with own responsibility to plan and prioritize.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills in English.\nService mindset with strong focus on business growth and profitability.\nOperates per ethical principles in all situations.\nMaintains and develops highest safety culture and standards.\nMaintains open and active communication within the organization.\nWhat’s in it for you:\nWellbeing and safety - benefit from occupational healthcare, generous benefits plan, healthy living rewards, mental well-being services, meal benefits and engagement surveys.\nAnnual bonus - global incentive programs tied to business and performance targets.\nExtensive learning opportunities - ongoing growth dialogues, internal mobility, mentoring programs, education assistance, ambitious projects, and global opportunities.\nWorldwide support - leverage our network of peers across the world, offering valuable assistance.
