In this role, you’ll play a key part in strengthening our supply chain for Screening, building strategic supplier partnerships and driving improvements in cost, quality, delivery and performance. Working collaboratively with local and international stakeholders, you’ll help ensure we have the right suppliers and sourcing strategies in place to support our customers and business objectives.\nResponsibilities\nResponsible for maximising overall supplier performance across a consolidated, competent, and reliable vendor base to meet Metso business objectives.\n\nDevelop and lead a structured supplier relationship management program for critical suppliers to assess capabilities, capacities, KPIs, and improvement initiatives and to manage supply chain risk.\n\nLead the strategic selection, qualification, and development of new suppliers with local internal stakeholders and global procurement and quality teams.\n\nDevelop short-term and long-term sources of supply agreements and contracts.\n\nLead supplier negotiations to improve commercial terms and supply chain performance to lower total cost and lead time and mitigate risk.\n\nLead cost reduction initiatives in conjunction with key business stakeholders and the ongoing development of the savings pipeline to achieve the agreed savings targets\n\nSupport the Metso business line strategies and requirements and proactively drive initiatives to meet sourcing objectives.\n\nAlign with internal departments to fully understand their needs to form strong stakeholder relationships and provide strategic procurement support.\n\nCollaboratively with internal customers to develop strategic category plans and implement strategic sourcing initiatives.\n\nClosely monitor and manage supplier performance in conjunction with the Screens delivery and Project management teams to ensure operational procurement performance is achieved.\n\nSupport (as needed) in delivery expediting, contract variations, quality issues and supplier escalation.\n\nGuide and support the Tactical Sourcing Team with Supplier selection and RFQ’s\n\nSupport the continuous improvement of sourcing processes and procedures, ensuring best procurement practices and policies according to the Metso code of conduct and quality requirements.\n\nAbout You\nThree to Five years of experience in Sourcing / Procurement of Heavy Fabricated-Machined parts and assemblies, Casting, Forging and Transmission components, preferably for an OEM.\n\nTertiary qualification in Engineering, Supply chain / Contract / Project management or equivalent experience.\n\nExperience in managing sourcing projects with local and global vendors\n\nProven stakeholder management skills, ability to influence and resolve any disputes\n\nExperience in working with international stakeholders.\n\nA thorough understanding of Engineering Drawings and Manufacturing Processes.\n\nKnowledge of quality documentation such as MDR, ITP and NCR\n\nA good understanding of commercial terms and conditions\n\nWorking Knowledge in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.\n\nSAP working knowledge is an advantage\n\nScreening experience would be an advantage\n\nExcellent communication skills and interpersonal skills is required\n\nThe role will require some domestic travelling\n\nWhy Metso?\nAn inspiring purpose - Enabling sustainable modern life.\nCompensation and rewards - Global incentive program tied to business and performance targets\nHybrid working possibilities - While we are big advocates of meeting and collaborating in person, we believe in fostering a flexible work environment.\nA thriving culture - We are committed to developing an inclusive culture that enables everyone to do their best and reach their full potential.
