This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in manufacturing and supply chain finance while developing your business partnering skills. As a key finance partner to factory management and other stakeholders, the Operations Controller drives operational performance through insightful analysis, high-quality reporting, and financial guidance. The role focuses on ensuring accurate and timely reporting, supporting planning processes, and identifying performance improvement opportunities across operations.\nSuccess in this role requires strong financial acumen, solid knowledge of financial processes and systems, and effective communication skills. Experience or interest in manufacturing, logistics and continuous improvement is considered an advantage. In this position, you will report to the head Services Supply Chain Finance.\nThis position is mainly located at the Irapuato DDH factory. Flexible working arrangements may be available depending on business needs.\n\nWhat you'll do\nAct as a finance partner for factory management\nDeliver insightful reporting, analysis, and recommendations to support decision-making.\nLead forecasting and planning activities, including rolling estimates and annual budgeting.\nMonitor business performance, identify deviations, and drive continuous improvement initiatives\nSupport in standardization and harmonization of financial processes, reporting, and KPIs\nEnsure accurate financial reporting, inventory valuation, and product costing.\nMaintain high standards of financial compliance, controls, and data quality.\nControl accuracy of inventory and production work-in-progress\nProvide financial expertise in business cases, investment analysis & follow-up\nProvide financial insights and ad hoc analysis to key stakeholders.\nWhat you’ll bring\nBachelor’s or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.\nExperience in business controlling, manufacturing finance, or operational finance environments.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into business insights.\nExperience with budgeting, forecasting, cost control, financial reporting, and performance analysis.\nAbility to work collaboratively with cross-functional stakeholders and influence decision-making through data-driven recommendations.\nStrong communication skills and the ability to present financial information to both finance and non-finance audiences.\nProficiency in ERP systems, PowerBI, financial reporting tools, and Microsoft Excel.\nWhat’s in it for you\nAt Metso, you will combine meaningful work with opportunities to learn, grow, and make an impact in a supportive and inclusive environment.
