At Metso, you’re supported by a growth culture built on safety, wellbeing, inclusion and collaboration.\nThis is your opportunity to make an impact and rise above the possible.\nJob posting end date:\nAs a Purchasing Officer within our Global Pumps Team, you’ll play an important role in supporting the Australian Pumps business by managing the local and international purchasing of pump components and indirect materials.\nMore about the role\nRaise and manage requests for quotation (RFQs) through Jaggaer.\nFollow up with suppliers on quotations, pricing and delivery timeframes.\nAnalyse and evaluate supplier quotations to support purchasing decisions.\nCreate and manage purchase orders through SAP.\nNegotiate pricing, quantities and delivery times with suppliers.\nBuild and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders\nSupport inventory purchasing for Pump Products across Distribution Centres and Service Centres.\nWork closely with internal teams to understand purchasing requirements and ensure timely supply.\nIdentify opportunities to improve purchasing processes and overall efficiency.\nMore about you\n2+ years’ experience in a purchasing, procurement or supply chain role.\nExperience working with suppliers and managing quotations, pricing and delivery timeframes.\nStrong negotiation and communication skills.\nExperience using SAP or another ERP/procurement system.\nIntermediate Microsoft Office skills.\nThe ability to understand technical information and, ideally, read basic technical drawings.\nAn understanding of mechanical or industrial products and equipment is desirable.\nExperience in mining, manufacturing, industrial or engineering environments is highly regarded.\nMetso is committed to pay equity and transparent reward practices globally.
