If you're passionate about fixed plant reliability, customer partnerships, and making a tangible impact, this role offers the platform to do exactly that.\nWorking alongside our high performing Service team in Adelaide, you'll be empowered to take full ownership of the contract, influence change, and deliver exceptional results for both Metso and our customer.\nAbout the Role\nAs the Site Contract Manager, you will be the key technical and operational representative for Metso on site, specialising in crushing equipment and associated systems. You will lead service delivery, provide expert technical guidance, oversee maintenance activities, and build strong customer relationships that drive long term value.\nThis role combines leadership, technical expertise, customer engagement, and hands-on field work, making it ideal for someone who enjoys both strategic thinking and practical execution.\nYou will play a critical role in improving equipment reliability, driving safety and performance outcomes, and identifying opportunities to enhance plant productivity and customer value.\nWhat You'll Be Responsible For\nTaking ownership of the overall Metso surface service contract at Olympic Dam and driving continuous improvement initiatives.\nActing as the primary technical liaison between BHP, Metso product divisions, engineering teams, and sales personnel.\nLeading and coordinating site service activities relating to Metso equipment, OEM spare parts, wear components, and technical services.\nProviding hands on mechanical maintenance support and technical expertise on Metso equipment.\nSupervising Metso personnel and contractors to ensure safe and efficient execution of work.\nConducting equipment inspections, condition assessments, and reliability reviews.\nInvestigating equipment and component failures and providing recommendations for improvement.\nSupporting quotation development by defining scopes of work, planning activities, and providing cost estimates.\nPreparing maintenance reports, service documentation, and customer recommendations.\nPromoting Metso products, services, technical solutions, OEM spare parts, and wear materials.\nSupporting warranty claims, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and continuous improvement initiatives.\nEnsuring compliance with Metso and customer safety standards and procedures.\nWorking closely with Technical Support and Engineering teams to resolve complex issues.\nIdentifying opportunities to expand Metso's installed base and strengthen customer partnerships.\nSupporting both local and occasional interstate or international service activities as required.\nAbout You\nYou are a self motivated professional who enjoys taking ownership, building trusted relationships, and delivering results. You are comfortable working independently while leveraging the support of a global organisation and a highly experienced technical network.\nTo be successful, you will have:\nMechanical trade qualification.\nMinimum 3 years' experience working with crushers, screens and mills within the mining or quarry industry.\nExperience across mining fixed plant equipment including:Crushers, Screens and Mills\nDrive line installation and alignment\nPrecision measurement techniques\nLubrication systems\n\nDemonstrated commitment to safety leadership and risk management.\nWorking knowledge of rigging and dogging practices.\nIntermediate Microsoft Office skills (Word and Excel).\nCurrent driver's licence.\nAbility to pass site medical requirements and work unrestricted on mine sites.\nStrong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.\nAbility to read and interpret:Mechanical drawings\nElectrical schematics\nHydraulic schematics\nConstruction drawings\n\nStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.\nExperience writing detailed technical reports.\nAbility to perform basic engineering calculations.\nA proactive mindset with a passion for continuous
