They are the guiding principles we expect everyone to act accordingly, and we believe that by living our values we will build a common, thriving culture.\n\nIntroduction to the Role\nWe seek a highly motivated Sourcing professional to join our Services Asia Pacific and Australia (APA) Strategic Sourcing team.\nThe position is based in Perth, Australia and reports to the Senior Manager, Sourcing, BA SVS, APA.\nAs our Sourcing Specialist, you will:\nLead the strategic selection, qualification, and development of new suppliers.\nAdminister Non-Disclosure Agreement, Terms and Conditions and Code of Conduct.\nOnboard the vendors on Metso’s e-Procurement Portal.\nResponsible for maximising overall supplier performance across a consolidated, competent, and reliable vendor base to meet Metso's business objectives.\nDevelop and lead a structured supplier relationship management program for critical suppliers to drive performance and manage supply chain risk.\nClosely monitor suppliers on arrival on time in conjunction with the operational procurement manager to ensure healthy levels of operational procurement performance are achieved.\nDevelop short-term and long-term supply agreements and contracts.\nLead cost reduction initiatives by building an ambitious savings pipeline and realise the savings to accomplish the agreed savings targets.\nCollaboratively with internal stakeholders to develop strategic category plans and implement strategic sourcing initiatives.\nSupport and guide the Tactical Sourcing team with supplier selection and RFQ.\nSupport the continuous improvement of sourcing processes and procedures, ensuring best procurement practices and policies according to the Metso code of conduct.\nEssential skills and experience\nTen-plus years of experience in sourcing heavy-fabricated and machined parts, castings, and forgings.\nTertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Supply chain / Contract / Project management.\nExcellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.\nAbility to interpret engineering drawings and associated manufacturing processes.\nExperience in Spend Analysis and Category Management.\nExperienced in managing a global vendor base.\nBrief knowledge of quality documentation such as MDR, ITP and NCR\nExperienced in negotiating commercial terms and conditions.\nIntermediate-Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables and lookups)\nAbility to work autonomously and collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.\nThrive in a fast-paced environment, positively contributing to the organisation's culture.\nAbility to articulate, engage and analyse situations, seeking practical solutions for a positive outcome.\nDesirable\nExperience in SAP, Power BI, Jagger Pool 4 Tool and Sievo\nOnly those with full working rights in Australia need apply.\nPlease note pre-employment medical and DAS forms part of our onboarding processes.\nWe understand that some highly capable candidates might hesitate to apply for a role unless they meet every listed qualification.
