Through ongoing research, technical expertise, and the application of innovative technologies, MetSoP Corporations is dedicated to supporting the growth and development of Zimbabwe's mining industry while contributing to more efficient, responsible and sustainable mineral processing practices across the region.\n\nJob Summary\n\nEmployer: MetSoP Corporations\n\nJob Type: Contract\n\nLocation: Harare, Zimbabwe\n\nCategory: Science & Research\n\nClosing Date: 2026-11-06\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nPrepare samples for metallurgical testing through crushing, screening, milling, weighing, filtration, and splitting.\n\nConduct milling curve tests to optimize grinding conditions for different materials.\n\nPerform bench-scale metallurgical test work, including particle size distribution analysis.\n\nMonitor and record flotation parameters such as pH, air flow rate, impeller speed and flotation time.\n\nEnsure samples are prepared within specified turnaround times while maintaining quality standards.\n\nConduct routine calibration of laboratory equipment (including balances, pH meters, timers).\n\nIdentify abnormal operating conditions during testing and report deviations immediately.\n\nEnsure correct storage, handling, and disposal of reagents, samples, and consumables.\n\nReport faulty or non-functioning equipment to the Metallurgist promptly.\n\nMaintain cleanliness and organization of laboratory areas, equipment and workstations.\n\nAccurately document experiments, procedures and observations in laboratory notebooks and systems with full traceability.\n\nAdhere to laboratory quality management systems and safety protocols.\n\nEnsure compliance with all health, safety, environmental, and operational standards.\n\nParticipate in laboratory audits, inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives.
