For our global headquarters in Nänikon, (close to Zurich), we are currently looking to strengthen our development team with an: Embedded Software Engineer 80-100% (all genders).\nAs part of our Embedded Software team, you will play a key role in the further development of our RXE and CSS product lines. Your focus will be on modernizing our product platforms and developing future-oriented solutions for innovative inspection and quality assurance systems.\nIn this role, your responsibilities include:\nDevelop and commission embedded software for new products and platforms.\nEvaluate suitable microprocessors and embedded technologies for future developments.\nMaintain, extend, and update existing products throughout their entire lifecycle.\nContribute to the migration of existing products to modern software platforms.\nMaintain and further develop Debian Linux kernels and drivers when required.\nAnalyze and resolve hardware and software issues.\nCollaborate closely with software, electronics, and mechanical engineering teams.\nSupport service, production, and assembly teams with technical inquiries.\nActively contribute ideas to the continuous improvement of development processes.\nWhat You Need to Succeed\nFollowing requirements are necessary for this role:\nDegree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems, or a comparable field.\nAt least 3 years of professional experience in embedded software development within an industrial R&D environment.\nStrong knowledge of modern C++ and C.\nExperience with Git and modern software development processes.\nSolid understanding of electronics, including reading schematics and measuring signals.\nIdeally, experience with Python and/or C#, as well as common development tools such as GCC, CMake, Visual Studio Code, and Azure DevOps.\nKnowledge of unit and system testing, as well as the Zephyr embedded operating system.\nExperience with Embedded Linux systems and Linux driver development/maintenance is an advantage.\nStructured, analytical, and solution-oriented approach to work.\nAbility to thrive in an agile and interdisciplinary environment.\nFluent in English, German language skills are a plus.\nOur Offer to You\nWe offer:\nFlexible working hours (depending on the role), a hybrid work model, and a wide portfolio of training opportunities\nA 40-hour work week with at least 25 vacation days per year, plus 4 to 7 additional days off between bank holidays\nFree parking and direct access to public transport\nHealthy lunches cooked onsite at our own METTLER TOLEDO restaurant, with special prices for employees \nA range of additional attractive benefits, including employee discounts at select area businesses\nYou can expect challenging, interesting, and varied tasks in an innovative and international environment, with the opportunity to network globally and achieve your career goals.\nHave we raised your interest?
