Our commitment to employee wellness and engagement has earned us recognition as one of Canada’s Best Managed Companies.\nPosition Overview\nReporting to the Product Development Manager - Hubs, the Mechanical Engineer II will take ownership of the analysis and validation of design integrity and product performance across our hub bearing portfolio. You will directly influence how products are validated, improved, and brought to market with strong emphasis failure analysis, innovation through continuous advancement. You’ll be expected to challenge existing designs, uncover root causes, and push engineering standards forward.\nKey Responsibilities \nFailure Analysis & Continuous ImprovementLead root cause investigations on warranty returns and field failures\nIdentify failure modes, design weaknesses, and systemic issues\n\nUse test data and real-world feedback to continuously evolve product performanceConvert findings into design upgrades, material changes, and engineering standards\nTranslate insights into actionable engineering improvements and next-gen product direction\n\nDevelop validation criteria, test methods and design test equipment for existing and new products and componentsCreate and manage 2D/3D CAD models and drawings (AutoCAD, Inventor, or equivalent)\nApply GD&T and engineering best practices to ensure precision and consistency\n\nPartner with global manufacturers to translate designs into high-performing productsResolve technical challenges and drive quality improvements with suppliers\nSupport manufacturer onboarding with a focus on engineering excellence and compliance\n\nEngineering Excellence & Team ImpactElevate engineering capability by improving design standards and processes\nContribute to team development, knowledge sharing and growth\nActively shape and improve overall engineering practices and performance culture\nIdeal Qualifications \nBachelor’s degree in engineering or applied science\n6+ years of mechanical engineering experienceExperience with dynamic equipment is preferred\nExperience with testing design and validation considered valuable\nKnowledge of materials and metallurgy considered valuable\nExperience with bearing systems considered an asset\n\nProven ability to analyze failures and translate insights into design improvements\nCAD (2D & 3D - AutoCAD, Inventor or equivalent)\nGD&T (ASME Y14.5)\nPhysical Demands And Working Conditions\nPosition follows a hybrid work requirement, consisting of four (4) days onsite and one (1) day remote weekly. \nPrimarily office-based with standard working hours;
