Our solutions help optimize the integration of renewable energy into global power grids and contribute to shaping a sustainable energy future.\nAbout the role\nAs a Layout Engineer, you will play a key role in the development, coordination, and optimization of overall layouts for Offshore HVDC Converter Platforms, contributing to the successful delivery of innovative and sustainable energy infrastructure projects. You will act as the focal point between all engineering disciplines, ensuring that technical, operational, safety, and maintenance requirements are successfully integrated into a coherent and efficient platform design. This role requires a versatile engineering professional with a broad technical background, a solid understanding of offshore projects, strong communication skills, and the ability to effectively collaborate across multiple stakeholders and engineering disciplines.\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES:\nDevelop, maintain, and coordinate:\n- General Arrangement (GA) Drawings\n- Field Layouts\n- Equipment Arrangements (e.g. Tanks and Voids)\n- Living Quarter Layouts\n- Room Lists and Space Allocation Plans\n- Access, Maintenance, and Escape Route Concepts\nDefine and optimize platform layouts considering:\n- Safety requirements\n- Operability and maintainability\n- Construction and fabrication aspects\n- Installation and transportation requirements\n- Offshore accessibility\n- Weight and space constraints\n- Fire and blast protection requirements\nCoordinate interfaces between multiple engineering disciplines, including:\n- HVDC Electrical Systems\n- Structural and Steel Design\n- HVAC\n- Piping and Mechanical Systems\n- Fire & Safety Engineering\n- Telecom and Control Systems\n- Accomodation Design (e.g. Living Quarter)\n- Installation and Operations Teams\nLead interdisciplinary layout reviews and design workshops.\nIdentify and resolve technical clashes, interface issues, and space conflicts.\nEnsure alignment between layout concepts and project requirements, industry\nstandards, and client specifications.\nSupport design development from concept phase through detailed engineering\nand fabrication.\nPresent layout concepts, technical solutions, and design recommendations to\nproject management, clients, and external stakeholders.\nQualifications\nBachelor's or Master's degree in Offshore Engineering, Naval Architecture, Structural Engineering or a comparable engineering discipline\nExperience in layout engineering and multidisciplinary design coordination.\nExperience within Offshore Projects\nProven track record of managing technical interfaces across multiple engineering disciplines.\nFluent in English (negotiation level); good German skills are a plus.\nSoftware Skills\nAutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite, CATIA / 3DEXPERIENCE, AVEVA E3D or comparable\nPersonal Competencies\nExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills\nStrong technical understanding across various engineering disciplines\nHighly
