The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable automated UI test frameworks and test suites for web applications. This role requires hands-on expertise in using Selenium and / or Playwright using Java, a proactive problem-solving mindset, and the ability to work independently while guiding other team members.\nThe successful candidate will be passionate about quality, automation, and continuous improvement, leveraging modern AI-assisted development tools to improve efficiency and test coverage.\n\nWHAT YOU WILL DO\nDesign, develop, and maintain robust UI automated test frameworks and test suites for web\nCreate and execute automated UI test scripts using Java, Selenium and / or Playwright.\nDevelop and maintain API automation tests using Rest Assured.\nContribute to automation framework enhancements, coding standards, and best practices.\nCollaborate with developers, product owners, and business analysts to understand requirements and define effective test strategies.\nAnalyze functional and technical requirements and independently create comprehensive test scenarios and test cases.\nIntegrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines and ensure reliable execution through Jenkins or similar orchestration tools.\nPerform root cause analysis of test failures and work closely with development teams to resolve issues.\nUtilize AI-powered IDE plugins and productivity tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, JetBrains AI Assistant, or similar) to accelerate test development and improve code quality.\nParticipate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, estimation, and Agile ceremonies.\nTrack and manage defects, test execution, and quality metrics using Jira.\nMentor and guide junior automation engineers through code reviews, technical coaching, and knowledge sharing.\nContinuously identify opportunities to improve testing efficiency, automation coverage, and overall quality engineering practices.\n\nWHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.\n5-7 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance test automation.\nHands-on experience in automation development using:Java\nSelenium WebDriver\nTestNG\n\nHands-on experience creating and maintaining UI automation test suites.\nExperience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or similar tools.\nExperience working in Agile/Scrum environments.\nProficiency with Jira for defect management, test execution tracking, and sprint activities.\nStrong understanding of software testing methodologies, test design techniques, and quality engineering principles.\nExperience using AI-assisted development tools and IDE plugins to improve development productivity.\nExcellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to work independently with minimal supervision.\nPreferred Qualifications\nStrong experience with API test automation using Rest Assured.\nExperience with Python for test automation, utilities, or data validation.\nExperience testing microservices and distributed systems.\nKnowledge of Git and source control best practices.\nFamiliarity with cloud platforms and modern DevOps practices.\nExperience with database validation and SQL queries.\nExposure to performance, security, or accessibility testing.\nKey Competencies\nIndependent thinker with strong ownership and accountability.\nAbility to translate business requirements into effective test scenarios.\nStrong communication and collaboration skills.\nMentoring and coaching capabilities for junior team members.\nContinuous learning mindset with a passion for automation and emerging technologies.\nFocus on delivering high-quality software and measurable business value.\nSuccess Factors\nThe ideal candidate consistently delivers reliable automated test solutions, proactively identifies quality risks, mentors junior engineers, embraces AI-assisted engineering practices, and contributes to building a scalable and efficient quality engineering culture.\nApplicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. This position is not eligible for sponsorship.\n\nBase Salary Range: $88,000.00 - $126,000.00\n\nThis position is eligible for competitive incentive bonus. \n\nAt MFS, we believe in fair and transparent compensation. For that reason, we’re including the salary range for this position. This range reflects our good-faith expectation for what we’ll pay depending on the candidate’s experience, training and education. In addition to the salary, we also offer significant and competitive incentive compensation based on both individual and company performance.
