Hybrid environment 3 days in office, 2 days remote\nPurpose\nWorking closely with business leaders, technology partners, and risk management teams, the Business Analyst supports the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the organization’s Business Continuity (BC), Crisis Management (CM), and Disaster Recovery (DR) programs, as well as the coordination of related activities in partnership with the Enterprise Risk Management program.\nAs an effective communicator, this role partners with stakeholders across the organization to translate risk and resilience requirements into actionable plans, processes, and reporting. The position is responsible for coordinating program activities, facilitating assessments and exercises, maintaining governance documentation, and supporting organizational preparedness and response capabilities. This role exercises independent judgment in managing assigned work, identifying opportunities for improvement, and contributing to the ongoing maturity of enterprise resilience programs.\nPrimary Duties & Responsibilities\nThe following statements describe the general nature of work performed by people assigned to this job, may not be performed by all individuals in this job, and are not a complete list of all job duties required.\nProgram Coordination & Reporting\nCoordinates program governance activities, including schedules, milestones, documentation repositories, issue tracking, and reporting deliverables.\nDevelops and maintains reports, metrics, dashboards, and management summaries related to program readiness, plan completion, testing results, and remediation activities.\nSupports regulatory, audit, customer, and internal review requests by gathering documentation, preparing responses, and tracking follow-up actions.\nIdentifies opportunities to improve BC/CM/DR processes, templates, reporting, and supporting tools.\nAnalyzes program data and trends to assist management in assessing program effectiveness and readiness.\nBusiness Continuity & Crisis Management\nCoordinates the development, maintenance, and periodic review of Business Continuity Plans (BCPs) for critical business processes.\nPartners with business areas to identify critical activities, recovery time objectives (RTOs), recovery point objectives (RPOs), recovery requirements, and key dependencies while providing guidance on continuity planning standards and documentation requirements.\nReviews continuity plans with stakeholders, asking clarifying questions to gain an understanding of business processes, recovery requirements, and critical dependencies, and to identify gaps or opportunities for improvement.\nFacilitates Business Impact Analysis (BIA) activities and coordinates updates to continuity documentation on a defined schedule.\nCoordinates and participates in crisis management exercises, tabletop scenarios and related preparedness activities.\nTracks findings, action items, risks, and remediation efforts resulting from exercises, incidents, audits, and assessments.\nMonitors changes in organizational structure, business processes, policies, and industry practices to ensure continuity documentation remains current and effective.\nDisaster Recovery\nCoordinates with Technology / IS teams to align business continuity requirements with technology disaster recovery strategies and recovery plans.\nParticipates in disaster recovery testing activities, validates results, and assists with post-test reviews and improvement planning.\nServes as a liaison between business and technology teams to ensure recovery requirements, priorities, and dependencies are appropriately documented and understood.\nEnsures disaster recovery documentation remains current and supports alignment between disaster recovery plans, business continuity plans, and crisis management procedures.\nAssists in tracking technology recovery capabilities and recovery objectives to support ongoing resiliency planning.\nCommunication & Learning\nBuilds effective working relationships with stakeholders across business units, technology teams, and risk management functions.\nFacilitates meetings, working sessions, and planning discussions to support program objectives and deliverables.\nCommunicates program requirements, expectations, findings, and recommendations clearly and professionally.\nContributes to employee awareness, training, and preparedness initiatives related to business continuity, crisis management, and disaster recovery.\nExperience & Background\nUnderstanding technology operations, applications, and infrastructure that support business processes.\nExperience gathering, documenting, and analyzing business and technical information.\nKnowledge of project management principles and practices.\nExperience coordinating activities across multiple stakeholders and managing competing priorities.\nAbility to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.\nExperience facilitating discussions, documenting requirements, and tracking action items.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify dependencies, gaps, and process improvement opportunities.\nExperience preparing principles and lifecycle\nUnderstanding of how technology supports and enables MGIC business processes.\nPay Range:\n$71,720.00 - $118,340.00This range aligns with current market data and reflects our commitment to competitive and equitable compensation. Salary offers are based on factors such as experience, skills, education, and training. The range may vary in certain locations to reflect local market conditions.
