Come make a difference at MGIC.\nPURPOSE\nThe Senior Business Analyst serves as a strategic partner between business stakeholders and technology teams, driving the successful delivery of enterprise initiatives that support MGIC's transformation. This role is responsible for analyzing current business processes, identifying opportunities for operational improvement, documenting requirements, and supporting the implementation of modern underwriting workflows and technology solutions.\nThe ideal candidate combines strong business analysis skills with mortgage industry knowledge and experience supporting business process transformation and application implementation efforts.\nPRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nThe following statements describe the general nature of work performed by people assigned to this job, may not be performed by all individuals in this job, and are not a complete list of all job duties required.\nElicit, analyze, document, and validate business requirements for strategic initiatives\nTranslate business objectives into detailed functional requirements, business rules, user stories, process flows, and acceptance criteria.\nCreate and maintain business requirements documents, use cases, and business process flows\nServe as the liaison between business stakeholders and technology teams throughout the project lifecycle.\nIdentify dependencies, risks, assumptions, and impacts associated with proposed changes.\nSupport implementation of new operating models and business capabilities associated with underwriting modernization initiatives.\nSupport Agile delivery practices including backlog refinement, sprint planning, story development, and release planning.\nExecutes requirements definition, analysis models, technical documentation, business documentation; facilitating end user communication and understanding of project requirements.\nSupport organizational change efforts through training, process documentation, and communication activities.\nDevelop and coordinate user acceptance testing activities, including test scenarios, test cases, defect triage, and business sign-off.\nAssist with implementation planning, production readiness assessments, and post-deployment support.\nCommunicates using both formal and informal methods across cross functional team throughout the project management process. Responsible for aligning communication deliverables and methods to each sequence.\nQUALIFICATIONS\nEducation: Completion of Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science or Information Systems. Additional experience (2 years) beyond the minimum (below) may be substituted for education beyond an Associate Degree.\nRequired Knowledge:\nWorking knowledge of MGIC business units and the interrelationships thereof obtained during onboarding\nUnderstanding of concept and phases of SDLC; able to complete assigned project tasks per each corresponding SDLC phase\nUnderstanding of project management principles and lifecycle\nUnderstanding of how IT affects MGIC’s business processes\nExperience:\n7 years advanced work in area of specialization\nExperience supporting mortgage insurance, mortgage lending, underwriting operations, loan origination, or financial services technology initiatives strongly preferred\nExperience working in Agile environments and supporting product-based delivery models.\nRequires general direction, can define necessary tasks to achieve outcomes\nPerforms multiple tasks of moderate and high complexity\nMulti-task and achieve multiple deliverables\nPay Range:\n$87,990.00 - $149,590.00This range aligns with current market data and reflects our commitment to competitive and equitable compensation. Salary offers are based on factors such as experience, skills, education, and training. The range may vary in certain locations to reflect local market conditions.
