The Mental Health Association of Columbia-Greene Counties Inc. is looking to fill a full time Trauma Therapist position at the REACH Center.\nThe REACH Center provides comprehensive, trauma-informed services to survivors of crime, assault, and abuse. The program offers free and confidential support, including a 24-hour emergency helpline, advocacy, crisis counseling, therapy, and assistance with Crime Victim Compensation. Services are available to individuals impacted by sexual assault, interpersonal violence, child abuse, elder abuse, stalking, harassment, physical assault, and human trafficking.\nLicensed Mental Health providers and trained counselors provide assistance to survivors in completing applications for the New York State Office of Victim Services (NYS OVS) Crime Victims Compensation Program. This includes offering guidance and support throughout the application process to help eligible individuals access financial assistance and reimbursement for crime-related expenses.\nPosition Type: Full Time-40 Hours/Exempt\nPay Range: $62,500.00- $64,000.00 annually\nWork Location: Hudson, NY 12534 and Catskill, NY 12401\nShift Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:00pm with some evenings based on program needs and hotline coverage\nJob Duties:\nProvide evidence-based, trauma-informed therapy in individual and group settings, as well as through phone and written correspondence. \nDeliver crisis intervention services via phone or in person. \nConduct client intake and ongoing assessments using standardized measurement and assessment tools. \nMaintain accurate and timely clinical records, service logs, and related documentation. \nSupport clients with compensation applications. \nProvide clinical expertise to crisis hot-line volunteers and 24-hour crisis hot-line support.\nMaintain a caseload of 30 clients. \nRespond to client-related calls and correspondence to support treatment, provide personal advocacy, and offer medical and legal advocacy. \nParticipate in multidisciplinary case conferencing to ensure coordinated services. \nMake referrals to enhance client safety, healing, and support. \nAssist with and provide advocacy as needed. \nAssist with outreach events to increase awareness, engagement, and access to services. \nParticipate in community activities to engage underserved and hard-to-reach populations. \nWork in partnership with community agencies, multidisciplinary teams, and service providers to ensure comprehensive support for victims and their families. \nProvide consultation and clinical support to non-clinical staff delivering direct services. \nParticipate in required training, clinical supervision, and peer supervision to strengthen therapeutic skills and support provision of quality services. \nRequirements\nMust have a Master’s degree and licensure in a mental health field. \nMust have strong interpersonal, listening, and communication skills.\nProficiency in written communication, public speaking, smartphones, and computer systems.\nMust understand HIPPA privacy laws.\nDemonstrate a commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion through continuous development, modeling inclusive behaviors, and proactively managing bias. \nRegular and steady attendance is a requirement for all positions.\nCandidates from historically underrepresented groups are encouraged to apply.\nAll offers are contingent upon successful Statewide Central Registry (SCR), fingerprint clearance and possession of a valid NYS driver’s license with a MVR eligible for agency insurance coverage.\n As an Equal Opportunity Employer, we do not discriminate in our employment practices due to an applicant's sex, race, color, religion, national origin, citizenship, age, creed, disability, veteran status, marital status, familial status, military status, domestic violence victim status, sexual orientation or gender identity/expression (including transgender status), predisposing genetic characteristics/genetic information or carrier status, ancestry, ethnic group identification, ethnic background, traits historically associated with race, reproductive health decision making, or any other category protected by applicable federal, state, or local law.
