In performing day-to-day, routine tasks, the Contractor follows established USCG guidelines and policy. In handling unusual non-routine problems, the clerk receives specific guidance from Comptroller and Base Operations Department personnel.\nThis position requires an extensive federal background check prior to start.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\nVerifying that orders are accurately filled by comparing items and quantities of goods gathered for shipment against documents\nEnsuring that shipments are properly packaged, identified with shipping information, and loaded into transporting vehicles, and preparing and keeping records of goods shipped, e.g. manifests, bills of lading, etc.\nVerifying the correctness of incoming shipments by comparing items and quantities unloaded\nagainst: bills of lading, invoices, manifests, storage receipts, or other records, checking for\ndamaged goods, ensuring that goods are appropriately identified for routing to departments within the establishment, and preparing and keeping records of goods received.\nServe as point of contact for the USCGHQ Loading Dock\nCoordinates inbound/outbound shipments with Government Mover, FE and CSS Departments\nCoordinates customer pick-ups from the loading dock\nManage inventory of various office supplies, as well as ensuring sufficient supply of ( Federal\nExpress (Fed Ex), United Parcel Service (UPS), United States Postal Service, (USPS) materials as applicable are on hand.\nCounts material, equipment and posts to inventory records, manually or using a computer.\nCompares inventories to office records or computes figures from records, such as sales orders, production records, or purchase invoices to obtain current inventory.\nVerifies clerical computations against physical count of stock and adjusts errors in computation or count, or investigates and reports reasons for discrepancies.\nAssist the Base NCR Government Vehicle Motor Pool Manager by processing vehicle requests, performing vehicle refuels and taking vehicles into dealer for maintenance and/or repairs.\nAssist the Government Property Analyst with property inventories.\nAssist the Government Property Analyst with disposal of excess property.\nAssist Government Mover with job
