We leverage world class partnerships and open-source software to deliver solutions that are both leading-edge and cost-effective.\nJob Description\nPosition Overview: As a Sr. System Engineer - Board and Systems, you will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between our customers and our R&D team. You will be responsible for understanding the technical needs of potential customers, engaging in detailed discussions with their hardware design engineers, and transferring key insights and requirements to our internal R&D team. A strong background in BMC, I2C, SPI, Power, thermal and signal integrity (SI) design, particularly in the realm of high-performance network switches, is essential for this role.\nThe successful candidate will have experience working with advanced ASICs such as from Broadcom/Cisco/Marvel. and a solid understanding of integrating these ASICs into high-performance networking products.\nKey Responsibilities:\nCustomer Engagement: Serve as the primary technical contact for potential customers, particularly their hardware design engineers, to understand their requirements and challenges.\nInternal Collaboration: Act as the liaison between the customer and our R&D team, ensuring clear communication of customer needs and technical specifications.\nHardware Design Support: Work cross-functionally with Hardware, Software, Power, Mechanical, Thermal, Validation, Signal Integrity, Manufacturing, and external vendors with a focus on BSP for high-performance networking switches.\nASIC Integration: Work closely with our hardware and ASIC teams to ensure smooth integration of ASICs, particularly Broadcom Tomahawk series, into our products.\nProduct Development: Participate in the design and development process of hardware products, ensuring that customer requirements are met and that designs are optimized for performance.\nTechnical Guidance: Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers on the team.\nQualifications:\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.\n7+ years of experience in hardware design, with a focus on high-performance network systems.\nStrong technical background in BMC, I2C, Power, thermal and signal integrity (SI) design for networking hardware.\nExperience working with ASICs\nProven ability to engage in detailed technical discussions with customers and translate those discussions into actionable insights for R&D teams.\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively work across teams.\nGood understanding of modern data center networks\nSelf-motivated, with a strong sense of ownership and responsibility.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience in high-performance switch designs (100G/400G/800G).\nKnowledge of hardware design lifecycle and product development processes.\nFamiliarity with power integrity (PI) challenges and thermal management in high-performance
