This position will work on complex bridge projects and develop innovative practical solutions to various structural design challenges. In this role you will lead, manage, and perform design and analysis and other structural engineering tasks for bridge systems and components.\nWhat You'll Do:\nPerform complex structural analysis and prepare design calculations.\nManage bridge/structural tasks as part of project development, including plan and report production.\nDevelop or assist in developing structural details and construction plans using a variety of industry-standard software packages.\nAssist and check design calculations performed by others.\nPrepare geometric/bridge layouts, construction specifications, and material quantity calculations.\nDevelop bridge and wall plans using Open Bridge.\nDevelop, establish and maintain relationships with our employees, clients, and other industry-related organizations and stakeholders.\nSupervise and train other structural engineering staff with less experience. \nSuccessfully interface with staff from a range of other disciplines (traffic, civil, planning, geotechnical, etc.) to support a diverse range of projects.\nFeel a sense of pride in knowing that you are helping to address some of our nation’s most critical infrastructure challenges while building the future of our organization! \nWhat You Need to Succeed:\n4+ years of experience in structural engineering.\nProfessional Engineer (PE) licensed in the State of Georgia or ability to obtain in six (6) months.\nBachelor's in Civil or Structural Engineering; Master's degree is preferred\nExcellent communication skills, both oral and written.\nStrong all-around theoretical knowledge of structural engineering principles.\nStrong people skills and an ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team environment.\nExperience with AASHTO LRFD, AISC, ACI and other North American design codes.\nSolid background and understanding of Structural engineering software packages like: MDX, Leap Concrete, MIDAS, FB Pier, etc.\nExperience with GDOT bridge policy and plan preparation is preferred.\nCompensation:\nThe approximate compensation range for this position is $82,000 to $120,000 per year. This compensation range is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting.
