As new technologies evolve throughout the construction industry, innovative ideas are required to maintain and deliver successful construction projects.\nWhat We're Looking For:\nMichael Baker is seeking a Construction Field Engineer to join the Construction Services team in Baltimore! This position plays a critical role in the successful delivery of aviation, and other airport infrastructure projects - runways, taxiways, and terminal projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical foundation in civil engineering, experience working in the field during construction, and the ability to collaborate effectively with contractors, designers, clients, and project teams.\nWhat You'll Do:\nProvide engineering support during construction of civil infrastructure projects with a focus on heavy civil construction - earthwork, pavement, concrete, etc.\nPerform field observations and inspections to verify compliance with plans, specifications, and project requirements.\nMonitor project schedules, quantities, and construction progress.\nSupport materials testing and quality assurance activities.\nMaintain accurate daily reports, field records, photographs, and project documentation.\nParticipate in project meetings, safety briefings, and coordination sessions.\nPerform within a team setting and support project managers and senior engineers in resolving technical and construction-related challenges.\nWhat You Need to Succeed:\nBachelor's or Associate’s Degree in Engineering (or related construction field) required.\n0-4 years of experience supporting civil, transportation, utility, or other infrastructure projects.\nUnderstanding of construction plans, specifications, engineering drawings, and contract documents (RFIs, submittals, etc.)\nUnderstanding of construction plans, specifications, engineering drawings, and contract documents.\nStrong verbal and written communication skills.\nAbility to work effectively in both office and field environments.\nValid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites.\nCompensation:\nThe approximate compensation range for this position $74,840 - $108,400 per year. This compensation range is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting.
