In this role, you'll tackle the inspection of complex bridges, tunnels, and overhead sign structures. This role may offer the opportunity to perform analysis, as well as other structural engineering tasks for bridge systems. This position offers a dynamic schedule with a mix of on-site field work and office work with other team members. Under the guidance of Engineers, Technical Managers, and Project Managers, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects.\nIf you're passionate about bridges and eager to take on challenging projects, we invite you to apply and become a part of our innovative and growing team!\nWhat You’ll Do:\nInspection Assistant Team Leader: Assist inspection Team Leaders during field inspections to determine the structural condition of bridges and other structures\nInspection Reports: Write technical inspection reports and review the work of other staff\nCAD Drawings: Assist with the preparation of CAD drawings needed for bridge and highway projects, as needed\nBridge Structural Analysis: Assist with the structural analysis of bridges and other structures, as needed\nManage Schedules and Budgets: Assist Project Managers with meeting project deliverables and budgets\nRelationship Building: Build and maintain strong connections with employees, clients, and other collaborators to achieve remarkable results\nAssist with other design and analysis tasks, reports, and other supporting documentation associated with various bridge projects\nOther duties as assigned\nWhat You Need to Succeed:\nPursuing a BS Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an ABET accredited university required\n0 - 2 years of relevant experience\nFamiliarity with various software packages such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, MathCAD, Microsoft Office, AASHTOWare BrR/BrD, MIDAS, and LARSA\nAbility to read and interpret plans, specifications, and other contract documents\nAdditional Requirements:\nCommitment to quality, accuracy, safety, and efficiency\nStrong verbal and written English communication skills \nCapable of working at heights, in confined spaces, able to use ladders, and work alongside live traffic \nSafety conscious and responsible for personal and team safety\nAble to use hand tools other equipment necessary for bridges evaluation \nHold a valid driver’s license and can obtain a DOT Medical Certificate for operating bucket trucks and company vehicles\nAvailable for night and weekend work as needed \nOSHA & First Aid training preferred\nCompensation\nThe approximate compensation range for this position is $25 - $28 per hour. This compensation range is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting.
