You’ll manage existing projects and clients while helping expand our presence in Temecula and the broader Southern California market.\nWhat You’ll Do:\nLead land development projects, including technical design, financial performance, scope, schedule, and quality.\nLead multidisciplinary project teams and provide technical guidance throughout the project lifecycle.\nMentor and develop early-career engineers by providing hands-on guidance, sharing technical knowledge, and creating opportunities for growth and increased responsibility.\nSupport business development and client relationships by identifying opportunities, strengthening partnerships, participating in client engagement, and contributing to technical and fee proposals.\nCollaborate across Michael Baker disciplines and offices to deliver innovative, practical, high-quality solutions.\nFoster a positive, collaborative team environment aligned with Michael Baker’s culture and commitment to developing its people.\nHelp grow the Land Development practice through technical leadership, quality project delivery, and team development.\nWhat You Need to Succeed:\nBachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field and at least 10 years of relevant land development experience.\nCurrent Professional Engineer (PE) registration in California.\nStrong land development expertise, including site planning, entitlements, grading, drainage, utilities, stormwater management, and related design.\nProven experience managing scope, schedules, budgets, financial performance, and successful project delivery.\nDemonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and develop engineers while fostering a collaborative team environment.\nStrong client relationships and knowledge of local agencies, permitting processes, and municipal coordination in the Southern California market.\nStrong communication and leadership skills, with an entrepreneurial mindset focused on client relationships, project delivery, and people development.\nCOMPENSATION\nThe salary range for this position is $120,000-$187,000.
