The position works in a consulting and client-service environment supporting federal, state, territorial, tribal, and local government programs. Assignments may include disaster recovery, resilience, housing, infrastructure, grants management, and other public-sector initiatives.\nThe successful candidate will combine technical knowledge with disciplined documentation, responsive client service, collaboration, and sound judgment. Responsibilities and level of independence may vary based on the specific client, contract, program phase, location, and assigned scope of work.\nWhat You'll Do:\nServe as the primary day-to-day client contact and maintain clear governance, escalation, and decision-making processes.\n\nDevelop and maintain project management plans, work breakdown structures, schedules, budgets, staffing plans, deliverable calendars, and communication protocols.\n\nDirect multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors; assign work, clarify accountability, monitor performance, and resolve constraints.\n\nManage contract scope, task orders, amendments, change control, invoicing, and compliance with contractual requirements.\n\nMonitor labor, expenses, revenue, forecasts, margin, backlog, and other project financial indicators; implement corrective actions when needed.\n\nMaintain risk, issue, action, decision, dependency, and assumption logs.\n\nLead client meetings, executive briefings, status reporting, and deliverable reviews.\n\nImplement QA/QC and ensure work products are accurate, timely, consistent, and ready for client and regulatory review.\n\nCoordinate mobilization, onboarding, training, resource planning, and demobilization.\n\nEnsure project records, data, and communications meet security, confidentiality, retention, and audit-readiness requirements.\n\nIdentify opportunities for process improvement, follow-on work, and client value while protecting scope and contractual boundaries.\n\nSupport proposals, staffing strategies, presentations, and lessons learned.\n\nPerform other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned to meet project, client, and organizational needs.\n\nWhat You Need to Succeed:\nBachelor's degree in business, public administration, engineering, planning, emergency management, or related field.\n\nAt least seven years of progressive project or program management experience, including multi-stakeholder delivery.\n\nDemonstrated experience managing budget, schedule, teams, risks, and client communications.\n\nAbility to communicate professionally, manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and produce accurate, well-organized work.\n\nProficiency with Microsoft 365 applications and the ability to learn client and company systems.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nPMP or comparable credential.\n\nFederal grants, HUD, FEMA, housing, infrastructure, disaster recovery, or public-sector consulting experience.\n\nExperience leading subcontractors and geographically dispersed teams.\n\nConsulting experience supporting government clients or work performed in a regulated, deadline-driven environment.\n\nExperience working with geographically dispersed, multidisciplinary, or surge teams.\n\nCompensation:\nThe approximate compensation range for this position is $103,532 - $130,385 per year. This compensation range is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting.
