We have an opportunity for a talented senior leader in the Emergency Management field to join our Tidal Basin team. This position will be responsible for growing and overseeing the company’s Emergency Management response sector, building relationships with state, local and federal clients, and growing relationships with teaming partners.\nRemote work may be considered for candidates who live more than 50 miles from one of our corporate office locations. However, candidates should also be prepared to report onsite to a designated corporate office location if their home residence is within approximately 50 miles. The ability to travel to client locations and deploy for extended periods of time is a requirement of this position.\nWhat You'll Do:\nJob Duties and Responsibilities:\nCoordinate pre-event Response activities with the Client and stakeholders and ensure required information is obtained from the Client for operational planning. \nAct as the engagement manager or project manager for assigned projects, maintaining client relationships, ensuring contract compliance, monitoring financial targets, and liaising between client and Tidal Basin staff when necessary. \nSupervise and mentor assigned project staff, including monitoring project and other assigned work, conducting performance appraisals, and assisting with professional development.\nResponsible for ensuring all work is performed safely and in accordance with Tidal Basin’s project management policies.\nProvide management of operations including monitoring project budget and overall costs associated with project, utilizing technology to facilitate efficiencies. \nProvide daily project oversight and quality assurance.\nResponsible for communicating project status and projected timelines to senior leadership throughout the project. \nEnsure client project documentation is in accordance with FEMA policy. \nPromptly resolve any contract, performance, or personnel issues, notifying all appropriate parties.\nProvide technical assistance to the Client in all phases of response and/or debris operations. \nOther duties as assigned. \nSkills and Competencies:\nStrong understanding of the Emergency Management response sector, including Operations, Logistics, Sheltering, and Communications, and demonstrated ability to develop strong business development proposals to win additional contracts\nDemonstrated ability to execute Response-focused field operations\nOutstanding interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate across diverse audiences, as well as negotiate and resolve problems\nDemonstrated Project Management abilities to manage, organize, and prioritize operations \nMust be highly independent, capable of making decisions in a highly charged and dynamic environment, and skilled in team building and consensus building. \nExcellent client relations and an understanding of local, state, and federal government structure.\nAbility to manage project budgets and create meaningful projections for strategic decision making.\nAbility to manage client expectations, subcontractor relationships, and overall contract with client to ensure success.\nAbility to understand, interpret, apply, and explain federal and agency policies, regulations, and procedures. \nAbility to effectively communicate verbally, individually and in groups with internal contacts, property owners, and other organizations or officials as appropriate. \nAbility to travel and deploy as needed (up to 75%)\nWhat You Need to Succeed:\nRequired Education and Experience:\nBachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Emergency Management or related fields, or 5+ years of experience in disaster/emergency management work with a focus on Response\n3+ years of experience in a supervisory capacity\nIS-100, IS-200, IS-700, and IS-800\nPreferred Experience:\nExperience with Mass Care and Sheltering operations\nExperience with logistics management and/or inventory management\nExperience with debris management/monitoring\nPrevious experience in Emergency Management private sector work\nCEM or equivalent state certification\nFamiliarity with disaster recovery programs\nCompensation:\nThe approximate compensation range for this position is $ 103,532 - $130,325 per year. This compensation range is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting.
