In addition, Michael Baker International is a recognized leader in the practical aspects of operating and maintaining a safe and efficient transportation infrastructure.\nWhat We're Looking For:\nMichael Baker International is seeking a highly-motivated Roadway Design Engineer in support of our growing Roadway practice within Ohio in our Cincinnati, OH office. The ideal candidate will be will primarily be responsible for civil roadway design and analysis of civil engineering and infrastructure projects such as roads, bridges, traffic projects. You will leverage your engineering knowledge and skills to prepare basic studies, construction documents, drawing, maps, reposts and supporting documentation and calculations.\nWhat You'll Do:\nAssists with design, construction documents, plan production, maps, basic reports, and other supporting documentation \nAssists with gathering background information related to a project site which includes reviewing as-built plans and mapping existing utility service \nAssists with the preparation of drawings such as those needed for highways, structures, and traffic projects \nAssists with quantities and project cost estimates \nCoordinates with design technicians to ensure timely and accurate deliverables \nAssists with document preparation for regulatory agencies to obtain required permits \nAssists with preparation for client and project meetings \nAttends internal project meetings and participates as necessary \nOccasionally visits project sites, and reports findings to Project Managers \nAbility to coordinate and communicate with other disciplines effectively\nWhat You Need to Succeed:\nBachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering. Master’s degree in Civil Engineering a plus.\nOhio and/or Kentucky P.E. license required.\n5 - 8 years of progressive highway design experience. Traffic engineering experience is a plus.\nProficient with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation and Microsoft Office Suite.\nAbility to build relationships with a wide variety of people, multitask and prioritize competing project obligations.\nStrong English language skills, written and verbal are essential to long term success in this role.\nQuickly get up to speed on our policies, relevant software, company service offerings and client standards and procedures relevant to your projects. \nExcellent written and oral communication skills.\nSelf-motivated, flexible, and able to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment\nStrong organizational and time-management skills.\nThis position does not offer sponsorship.\nCompensation:\nThe approximate compensation range for this position is 78,099 to $112,769 per year. This compensation range is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting.
